Nakitaninja Posted June 8, 2011 That is soooooo awesome!!!! I loved building forts as a kid. Then it's time to play some Super Mario Brothers 3 and order Dominoes pizza. Watch The Goonies. I loved being a kid. I am all over this DD box fort/castle of awesomeness! The Goonies?! I think you just gave away your age Oh man, it's cool. I am friends with my relative "oldness" and the fact that I have similar interests with people 10 years younger than me. Being in the video game business it was bound to happen sooner or later. ^^;;;;; Billy- impressive collection of boxes! I love the packaging almost as much as the items. mitsuki Posted June 8, 2011 I saw my friend at this conference in Cold Spring after several years. He asked me if I thought anime and the Dollfie hobby was dying out. (He is not in the hobby at all. He was just speculating.) I told him that it is a sign that the hobby is still highly prevalent when there are enough generations to disagree on the best Star Wars movies (episodes 4, 5, and 6 versus 1, 2, and 3). Lizik-chan Posted June 8, 2011 I told him that it is a sign that the hobby is still highly prevalent when there are enough generations to disagree on the best Star Wars movies (episodes 4, 5, and 6 versus 1, 2, and 3). Thanks for the amazing criterium I totally agree on this and so far I feel absolutely relaxed about the hobby future. Billy - your boxes are impressing!!! Well not so impressing as its' original content I guess I also do keep all the boxes from BJD and all smaller dolls I have and now from Dollfie Dream. I've never thought of any reasonable ground for this though. I just keep them.

baldylox Posted June 8, 2011 Really nice collection there Billy! I'm almost regretting that I threw out all of my PVC and Figma boxes when I got them. I came home from work and found I received my 2 Mirai Suenaga Figmas today, now I'm wondering if I should keep the boxes? hehe Well James, to make things easier on you, just do this. Open one of them and save the box. Take the other sealed one and send her to me. Problem solved. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. baldylox Posted June 8, 2011 Those are some fun boxes, Baldylox! I like all the artwork on them. Besides the obvious reasoning I have for keeping boxes ( which is I am a pack rat and I know resale value holds better with original packaging ) I also love the artwork on boxes. It is really neat to see how these are designed to grab your attention while sitting on a shelf in a store. Since we don't get to see these at retail, it's cool to think about how they have to make them look to grab your attention and say "HEY! BUY ME!" baldylox Posted June 8, 2011 I'm sorry... but... YOTSUBA!!!!! Yes, Yotsuba rocks! I love her and the manga!! Seeing your yellow plastic DD boxes made me laugh though... I remember those... and they haven't changed in yeeeeeaaaaaaaaars!!! Nope, they sure haven't. Always the same old same old. I do like the other boxes tho. Yoko's box is awesome and I like the stickers Rei has on hers. I can't recall if Mai had any stickers on her box other than her name.... hers was the solid yellow box in the middle. Till Troll Posted June 9, 2011 I saved Meade's store box and Chandra's (Marya's) box. I don't intend to resell them, but the box reminds me of the excitement I felt when I opened them. Chandra especially, as I really looked forward to the parcel in the post, because she was still in her box, and thus she felt like a new present. I think I'll save the boxes, flatten them and put them somewhere safe. I also have most of the inner packaging for Chandra, but I don't think it's worth saving the generic packaging, maybe just the board she was tied to. I generally save boxes from my anime figures too: they are in bin bags on top of my high bookcases!
