Obitsu Designer Head - 60HD-F08W: photos as a male?

 

So does anyone have this head and have made customizations to it? Granted it's a closed eye head, and you'll have to remove the eyes - but it's hard to find images of people making this head into a male or even of people opening the eyes and making them into an anime face (as most faceups I've seen of the head do a very resin/feathery faceup).

 

considering nabbing this one and make it into a male then put it on a 50 or 55cm boy body to finally have a boyfriend for my Yumiko MDD

Have you tried using Photoshop to have an idea of what he could look like? If you had any references of what you have in mind I could paint a quick mock-up for you.

well I was hoping for more physical photos b/c the slope/contours of the head can look a lot different in person with a face up - that and I'm looking for photos of the head with the eyes opened and how different eyes fit in on that head - b/c it looks like it might take 20 or 22mm but I can't say for certain just from looking at it.

 

i can make mockups in photoshop but wanted some insider opinion before I try to order from parabox and pay double for the head b/c of the ems shipping lol

Oh I see. Well just wanted to be helpful, but by the looks of it, I think he'll make a really good male anime looking doll; a serious, sneeky or grumpy one depending on brows.

With the eyes opened it does look better ^^ I'm to scared to open my ones eyes haha I dont her the equipment for it..

Here is a better look at his face. It isn't the best because it was one of my first attempts at a face up and i took the picture with my phone XD

For this head opening up the eyes wasn't all that difficult because the vinyl at least on the one I got is thinner around the eyes than a closed eye DD head. You just have to be careful :3

I use this head as a practice head of sorts and here are a few shots of him modded with eyes opened and mouth modded. Not very good examples as I'm a total noob but the whole process was fun.

 

 

He remains as floating head to this day and will likely stay that way.

Awesome! I don't know how someone would deal with a character like this over time. But he would be fantastic for jokes every one in a while, like a bit actor.

 

OMG!!! He is SO adorable! If his skin was green he would make the most moe dino boy EVER! I just want to hug him!

 

I really should stay away from these forums. Checking them 4+ times a day makes me spend too much money. I do think this sculpt is pretty dang awesome. And with that nose he looks like he would be a perfect little brother for the 04 head too. *adds to want list*

zomglob - these are looking fantabulous! Arg now I think I need to get this head and try to use my dremel and carve out the eyes... o____o

 

well, I might buy 3 incase I mess up... (can't believe they are only 1200yen... that's really economical)
