Does it stain?

I'm probably too late, but Tc Doll's black fake leather stains. At least on my Smart Doll bust it does.

I was finally able to pick up my Mikuzukin set from the post office today. Do anyone know if the red parts stain? Or if it's safe to wash them without the white lace turning pink? Thank you!

I doubt the red statin material will leak color. My main concern is the red stitching inside the dress, so I'm washing just that then taping it up.

Shirt is a replica of the volks set and has never given me any problems.

Shorts sold by themselves, didn't wash them, they've never stained any of my girls.

Anyways - I wanted to report on a the outfits from the Macross Frontier pre-orders.

 

Sheryl Nome Lion set:

- Top is white lined.

- Socks didn't stain around the top of thighs or bottoms of feet after 3 hours standing.

(Update Sept 28, 2021 - the blue belt on her left leg left a stain underneath the buckle area. I've had her displayed in this for several years so I can't say when this happened)

Sheryl Nome Casual Date Outfit:

 

- Black shorts are white-lined completely.

- Navy socks are made of a nice stretch jersey (kind of the same as the top) and after 3 hours standing left no marks around the tops of thighs or the bottoms of feet.

 

 

Ranka Lee Interstellar Outfit:

 

- Does not stain

Ranka Lee Nyan Nyan Outfit:

 

- Red dress is completely white-lined on the inside

- Does not stain

The Mikuzukin set absolutely does stain it's lined but on places where my girl touched the outer materials or on the threads/seams inside she got red marks. They're pretty pesky ones too and they don't want to come out. I heard someone saying that they put it in a lingerie bag, put it on a cold gentle cycle in the washing machine and it was fine so I'll be trying that. I think the other stuff won't pick up dye if you use enough water so that the color becomes spread out enough to not be a problem.

Oh yes, most definitely. It's completely lined, so you might think a little bit of Volks tape will be fine, but invariably there will be some red thread you miss. For me, this thread was inside the sleeves. And this red thread seems focused in places where the outfit is really tight against the doll.

 

I'm also suspicious of the green elastic which holds the wolf on the head. I haven't seen any comments about it, but I'm wary of it.

 

When my girl wears it again, she'll be in her bodysuit.

I had some fairly mild spots from it on the biceps. It took half a dozen treatments with dream rescue, but I've mostly dimmed them. But if I'm in good light and specifically looking for them, I can still slightly see them.

The hat from Magical Lucy default set stains - like thru the wig... I didn't expect it and happened to take my gals wig off that has a very light wig cap and yep - black hatch marks all around her noggin. Not too happy :/

I really like the Alna Tour T-shirt, but I really worry about what a all black shirt like that could do to a SW doll. haha. I was just wondering if anybody else had the Alna Live tour T-shirt and if they had any problems with it?

i may be a bit late to the party... but have discovered small bit of Sheryl Nome's default outfit will stain!

 

You know which bit? The belt buckle on the garter holding up her left sock!

Everything else is ridiculously safe, even the fire-engine red jacket cuffs that touch the doll's wrists

 

But the beltbuckle has left a blue square mark on my girl's thigh. The rest of belt is a-ok tho!

Patching vevlet to cloth parts that are prone to stain really helps. I did this on a few clothes, one being Sakuya: Crimson's default outfit, where covered buttons on the body piece has no underlinen, tends to stain the doll body. The staining no longer occur once I patch a piece of black vevlet onto it.

does anyone know if Kirika's bikini stain?

The Idolmaster Christmas outfit "Holy Night Gifter" red dress left marks on the bust of my doll.

 

I just wasn't thorough enough with the taping... I had covered most of the inside seams with DD tape, and also put tape on my doll's bust but I guess I missed a few spots T__T"

 

I can't tell you how long the staining took to happen since I had my doll wearing it for a solid 3 months

I had the White Rider leather jumpsuit on a dddy (so it was tighter, which should have caused a stain if it were going to) for awhile and had no issues.

 

I got the White Rider jumpsuit and the zipper seems really scratchy on the inside. Are Dollfie Dreams susceptible to being scratched by things like this? I think it would catch on my blueblooddoll bodystocking for sure, so I don't want to use the one I have unless there is no other choice (better to sacrifice a stocking than a body!)

I don't think Soft Vinyl get scratch and if it does it won't be easily noticeable.

Does the classical lace up lolita in Black stain?

I noticed last weekend that the Volks Bourgeon de rose-Mademoiselle stains almost instantly.

 

On the plus side, I also found out that if it's noticed quickly then the stains come out easily.

I'm wondering if Rin Kagamine's clothes stain, specially the trousers, if it would worth it buying her bodysuit.

She would be my first DD so I'm a bit more paranoic after seeing some stain photos ><

The yellow trim around the edge of her tops, uh, armholes (can't really call those sleeves) left a small yellow stain on her shoulder. It doesn't turn up in photos and it's only if you look closely. Her shorts are white lined inside and seem unlikely to stain. I'd be more worried about Lens but I can't say for certain.

To be honest Rin has spent 90% of her time with me in other outfits.

Now the question is to buy or not... perhaps for the first time she wears her clothes, but to be honest if you say it's so small then I don't worry that much >< At the same time I like how bodysuits look (when they aren't all wrinkly...)

And yeah, I worried mostly about Len, for this reason I'm happy they went with grey for Rin
