Related to the tech subject here, I'm old and was into 35mm film photography with SLRs in the late 1970s when catadioptric lenses were more common than they are now with most of the major camera manufacturers offering them as options to their conventional long focal length telephotos. If I recall they were usually just reffered to as "CAT lenses" at the time. (Autofocus wasn't yet a thing back then.) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
