Aoi ~

I decided I'd change dolls. I prefer Aoi's expression much over Yukino and she has much fuller breasts. Anyways, what type of Twin-Snow eyes would look best with her if she had Pale Ivory hair? I was going to go with the 'J' type Magic Purple but that was for Yukino.

 

 

All suggestions welcome, even if said eyes aren't from Twin-Snow~

It depends on the kind of character you want her to be in my opinion. If you want her to be all serious maybe a darker colour. I think the purple would still work though.

On the Volks website it says she takes 22mm eyes, so maybe a size smaller would work if twin snow eyes are big?

I don't think Twin-Snow has any smaller then 22mm.

 

 

I don't think her head that MUCH of limited place. I'm sure they could fit. I've seen a few other people with customized Aoi's and Twin Snow eyes.

The 22's she comes with are a tight fit. It's not the eyehole that's the issue just the space in her head. I'll take a photo of mine hang on.

That does look like a tight fit. So you're just saying that it would be hard to replace her default eyes, correct? Not really the eyeholes in general. I don't have a problem messing around with her and perfecting her eyes correctly.

I decided I might buy a head off of Ebay with face-up already painted on.

 

However, I'm not sure if I should buy the body Volks sells (without the head) or if I just buy Aoi and replace her head with the one I get off of Ebay? I'm not sure what to do since I don't know if the skin tones would match or not. ;; But I do see some pretty nice wigs and heads on Ebay and I'm really hoping to buy one instead of just getting Aoi.

Maybe you could try the marketplace here? And try and get a body from the same year as the head? Otherwise the colour match might be off. But having only just got my new girl I can't really say how much difference there will be. If you don't mind me asking which head are you looking at on ebay?

Honestly the colour match issues aren't a big deal. It's usually very subtle. I'd recommend grabbing a DD2 when Volks Int has a restock because it's a lot cheaper.

I'm more saying be careful what you pick because of the limited space inside. Sometimes you need to mod the eyes a little to get them to fit. >_<

Just know that "Jr's Toy House" is VERY high priced on thier stuff. But if you want something immediately, go for it. I've bought from them before with no issues but it wasn't DD related. They are a reputable seller, no worries there, they just tend to be expensive compared to others.

 

As for the head, yes. You can put that head on ANY DD body you like.... DDII, DD3, DDdy, MDD, DDS, etc.

Also yes, I realized that this seller is quite expensive but I don't mind. This current product has free shipping so it isn't that bad.

Just to go back to the earlier point about not having enough room for the eyes.

 

It's worth noting that twin-snow eyes are hollow in back. This means you can shave the side of one eye so that they'll both be able to be properly inserted.
