Ravendruid Posted January 21, 2013 I actually took these a while ago, at SK's school. I've been a bit slow about processing and posting pictures recently. Just lost in thought, happy to finally be free of the cramped bag she's been riding in all day. Snow-dreaming by Ravendruid, on Flickr Yuriko: Ooh, it's so fun to watch the snowflakes spiraling down... I think she is hypnotized by the patterns. She doesn't even seem to notice the cold. Snowing-again by Ravendruid, on Flickr Yuriko: Look Daddy, I made a snowball! You'd better start running! Me: Or, I could just stand here not taking the picture until your hand gets too cold to throw it... Gonna-get-you by Ravendruid, on Flickr We had a fun day, she loves visiting the college, but my hands were getting too cold to hold the camera steady by that point, so we had to cut the photo session short. baldylox Posted January 21, 2013 Lucky!! I wish we got snow here! She looks to be having fun for sure but she also looks like she needs a longer shirt/sweater. But it seems most Dd girls don't have any problems being out in the cold, maybe they've adapted themselves over time to be immune to snow and cold? Fun pics tho, it's nice to see Yuriko out in the snow having a good time! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Ravendruid Posted January 22, 2013 Aww she's so cute. I really love her freckles hehehe. Wasn't she cold though? Thanks. SK did a fantastic job on her freckles. They are my favorite feature of hers. Freckles almost always ramp up the cuteness factor by a huge amount. She is so adorable! I hope she stays warm. Thank you. I think she is definitely my daughter. In high school I would be outside in temperatures in the 'teens Fahrenheit, in the snow, wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Barefoot, even. Because anything more than that was unbearably hot. I'm not that hot-blooded anymore, but still usually wear far fewer layers than most. In fact, most nights when I walk to work I have to take off my jacket about halfway there. Lucky!! I love the snow, usually, but this year we haven't gotten enough, often enough for it to stay "snow". We got a bunch around the middle of December, and not really any since, so now it's all just dirty looking ice. Makes walking not so fun. Hopefully we get some more real snow before winter's over. Yuriko really doesn't seem to mind the cold at all. She handles it better than I do. Plus I think DD girls might have evolved genetic factors that make them naturally adapted for the standard anime girls mini-skirt winter wear. Your girl is really pretty ^_^I love red hair girls ! She might want to wear something warmer next time she goes out , you don't want her to get sick Thank you! Red haired DDs aren't nearly as common as they should be. But maybe if they were more common they wouldn't stand out so much? Anyways, I've never known her to get sick, thankfully. My niece used to have a doll that was ALWAYS sick. I'm glad she doesn't visit very often, so ours don't get infected. Daddy of: Yuriko, Sohi, Miku and SK's many kids
SisterKyoya Posted January 31, 2013 Snowing-again by Ravendruid, on Flickr This is my fave pic of the set. I like her much more when she is in sweet mode, rather than demanding mode. Wait... She was out in the snow without a hat and a scarf? You have no excuses dude since she got the set for Christmas, and her elf hat too. With her being your daughter I can understand the no gloves and still holding a snowball thing, but it does make my hands hurt thinking about it. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

With her being your daughter I can understand the no gloves and still holding a snowball thing, but it does make my hands hurt thinking about it. ~Sister Kyoya Most of the time, she's actually in sweet mode. Just every once in a while, something really catches her attention and gets her super excited and she gets super fixated on it and just HAS to have it. I've known other people to get that way sometimes, too. It was too warm for a hat and scarf with that extra fuzzy sweater and the thick skirt! Nobody should be forced to deal with that much heat. I can remember mom and dad having to go to my sister's school and try to straighten out the teachers after she got in trouble for refusing to wear a coat at recess. Everybody on both sides got so upset that they almost ended up withdrawing her. So, coming from a family that is extremely sensitive to heat, if she says she's comfortable, I'm not going to force the issue. I did keep her hat on hand, just in case, though.
