killerchan Posted January 23, 2013 ok i know this has probably already been posted before but im not sure if my thread is different then the others out there, i have 3 problems. 1. shes a second hand mdd that is loose and floppy, anything i try to do/get here in australia is freaking expensive. Is there any way apart from buying kips that i can do? dad and i tried to pull her apart to look at the screws but they seem fine. 2. there are cracks in her torso and arm inside the skeleton, what should i do to fix it so her arm wont keep falling out?? ;-; 3. stains - my freaking dad stained my girls foot and im wondering if my normal desk lamp will work? (it get super hot when left on for a few minutes! ) and have you ever seen the vinyl start to melt? D: i dont want that happening! edit: resin boys and vinyl girls, thats what i love! Poofiemus Posted January 24, 2013 Oh, man, that is a big bummer about her arm. Hopefully someone who has an MDD can help with that part. As for the stains and the desk lamp, it'll depend on how close you put the lamp. Agatha's head got singed during stain treatment once, getting these brown splotches (which I covered with paint), but I was stupid and had the lamp only an inch or so from her head. I think if you keep the lamp more like five or six inches away that'd be okay. Further and slower is probably safer than closer and quicker, and I'd still say don't leave the lamp on her when you're not nearby to monitor it. Do leave the zit cream on though--that'll keep working even without the heat to catalyze it. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

Owch i would hate to do that to my mdd's foot even though it pretty sure the foot would just melt or burn, im hoping i can fix the ink stain. Yeah it sucks that her arm is broken its the upper arm skeleton that is cracked, dad said to put glue in the cracks and hopefully it will fix the arm poping out when im holding her. But what im really shocked to find today issssss..... LOOK WHAT I JUST DID! OMG! i do not know what i did but its awesome! i pulled her apart because i was going to send her away to get fixed by plasticfantastic who had offered to help me but pushed her back together because shipping was too expensive and i was sad so then when i pushed her together i felt that one leg was actually firm compared to when i first got her. So i tried to stand her, after 10 minutes or so getting her to balance i got it!! she can stand!! (one leg is still floppy compared to the firm one shes on) im so happy now! (i bet she wont stand with a head on because its too top heavy ;-; ) im afraid to move her off the table now.... resin boys and vinyl girls, thats what i love!
