DDS and SQLab body comparison?

Hello!

I am all set on getting the DDS body but it seems the part are never available and the price tag is also higher then the SG body. I am also new to the Vinyl world so I tough getting a SG body would be better for me since I am so scared of stain and I am used to resin. I heard DDS can wear pretty much any dd clothing(pants would be too long but anything else will be more or less fine). But I have no idea if the SG body can even wear DD outfit properly. On the body page it say it wear MDD and the like....

 

So this is the reason I would like to see an SDD body next to a Sqlab SG body.

I think the SQlab SG body is closer to Obitsu 50 than DDS.

On SQlab's website it says it's 53cm with head included.

Models: Asuna (Obitsu 60cm body), Chihaya (DD3 body), Iori (DDS body), Mashiro (SQlabs SG body) and Yui (Obitsu 50cm body).

I have not had a hard time finding anything for Mashiro (SQlab body) to wear. She is in a combination of DD Akira and Lucy pieces right now. She has tried a few MSD bits, too. Pants are the only issue, but then she wears cropped leggings. SQlabs come with both sets of feet and she has the standard ones right now and they fit into larger MSD shoes (like Obitsu feet).

 

If you like this size, I don't think you will have a problem finding clothes.

 

I do find that the SQlab body is much closer in size to an Obitsu 50cm than anything else. It is just shaped and curved more like a DD.

This is incredibly helpful. I have my custom Victorique on a DD body which is just too tall. I have wanted to shift her to an SQlabs body, or at least an Obitsu 50.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I was intrigued about their differences/similarities as well.

 

But man, it looks like they're competing who has the thinnest waist. Is the SQLab one really that thin or is it an optical illusion due to her just having one upper piece?

Sorry about obscuring Yui's waist. I should have just found her a tank top. Since she is only a pre-teen, she was shy about being topless.

 

As far as waist sizes go, I have had the same skirt on both bodies (SQLab and Obi50) in the last couple of days. It is the DDS one from Magical Peach. It fits the SQLab waist perfectly. It sits lower on the hips on the Obitsu 50cm. I think that waist is smaller.

 

SQLab is curvier. It seems to be based on a DD body, just scaled down. It has more of a bust and larger hips. Obitsu 50cm is more athletic, with hipbones and thinner hips. There is not much of an hourglass there. You can get a larger bust option for this body, but you still have thin hips - unless you change and go for a Yamato body, which is a totally different discussion. As you can see below:

 

 

Kona-chan (blue hair) is the same body as Yui in the first pics, with the exception of a standard Parabox large bust for 50cm body. Shion (yellow undies) has the uber-curvy Yamato VMF type A body which has the same skeleton as the other Obitsu 50cm bodies.

 

Anyway, lots of options. All are nice and most can utilize much of the DD/DDS/MDD wardrobes.

Forgive me for butting in and making this O/T but could you please tell me what sort of head you're using for your wonderful Iori Minase?

 

I am really trying to build Iori-sama myself and have been thinking and searching for the right eye shape/size. I thought Miki Hoshii's head because of the eye shape. Yours is also beautiful.
