mangaemi Posted February 2, 2013 (edited) *edited this main thread to give us some criteria for posting* There are sometimes little rare items that are the perfect size for Dollfies at major chain stores. Granted stores will vary from state to state or even country to country, but let's try to help each other find some DD wares in the wild!! State where you got the item, what country you live in, the price and maybe throw up a picture (not required but definitely appreciated). Already seeing tons of awesome dollfie items can't wait to discover more! Happy Hunting everyone! Anna-neko Posted February 2, 2013 JoAnn's junky section - a teapot, for like .. I forget.. a fiver maybe? Its actually an egg-timer shaped like a nice metalic lil teapot, but its the most perfect sized thing for my girl Also X-mas store.. Its a sorta a chain mostly on the US East coast (http://www.christmasandcity.com/index.php/) - they have these glass ornaments, that look like wine glasses. With liquid sealed inside them as the 'wine' that sloshes around in a few different shapes and 'flavors' Its the most perfect thing for a DD's hand
Milk Posted February 2, 2013 All right. So this is something for everyone who's going to visit Germany. Nanunana: Store chain which carries gift ideas and decorations. The best find I made was an DD sized teddybear with moveable limbs for 1€ on sale. Sometimes they have other tiny sized plush, so check them from time to time to find something you like. I also got tiny mugs (sale 1€, with birthday wishes print) from there. Depending on the season they offer different decorations, such as a bag of tiny wrapped gift boxes (~2€) on Christmas or little baskets around Easter. The chain T€DI is similar to dollar stores in the USA, I guess. They have all kinds of random things. I got another tiny plush for 1€ from there. They also have nice sized hair clips of different variety for 1-2€. Xeno is sorta like Nanunana with a stronger influence on necessities for households. They tend to be bigger thus have a better variety. No matter which season you can always find supplies to make your own DD jewellery. Sometimes they have jewellery boxes in the right size for DDs as well (I saw one which looked like a vanity in black/pink + stool for ~12€, might be a little too small, though). Because Easter is coming I saw decent sized decorations such as buckets (originally for plants) and bird cages (candle holder) there. I generally recommend stores who carry decorations and gift ideas or simple dollar shops. You never know what you'll find (for not as many bucks as you'd think). home ‣ Victoria Beatrice {DD Beatrice} ▪ DD 2B ▪ DDB 9S ▪ Lavi {TinyFox Murphy} ▪ Mocha {TinyFox Fluffy} ▪ TinyFox Ashley waiting for ‣ DDS Alisaie ▪ DDSB Alphinaud ▪ TinyFox Piercy

archangeli Posted February 4, 2013 1:3 scale Garden chairs at Michael's Saw these at the downtown Vancouver location a few days ago. $37 each, so I suggest waiting for them to go on sale or wait until you have a 40% off coupon! chailatte Posted February 7, 2013 I'm not sure if you can still find them, but I used to find super cute little couches and chairs in the back of Ross where all the normal decorative stuff is. Usually for no more than $15.00!!! I have a little plant stand from there that I just realized it would be perfect as a daybed for my girl. I may end up making a whole bedding set just to make it work.

mangaemi Posted February 11, 2013 There are some DD sized eraser food props at Target right now in the valentines section. They have a pastries set and hamburger set for 1.50 each. There are about 6-7 erasers in each package : ) ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho

mangaemi Posted February 11, 2013 ACK I must go! I used to collect those eraser things but then I gave them all to my little sister so she could collect...Guess I should start it back up for my doll! I warn you in advance they aren't as pretty or as well made as the official Japanese collectable erasers they sell at Hallmark (If I remember right they carry them at the very front with the register). but for the price they're a steal (I think the hallmark ones are 1.50 a piece vs getting 6 for 1.50 at target lol) ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho
mangaemi Posted February 12, 2013 Another Michael's store alert. In the American Girl craft section (usually with all the bigger baby doll stuff) they have some white metal stands for 2.99 that fit DD/DDS (and probably DDdy b/c of the waist). These stands support at the wasit, though you might be able to do a leg too? The ones at the store in my area were waaaaaaaaay down on the bottom shelf, so you might miss them if you weren't looking specifically for them. They also had a smaller one in white metal and also wood which looks a little close to the Volks one for only 3.99 (instead of.. hurl.. 50$+) If you have any Yosd they had some smaller ones there too : ) Very economical stand that is tall enough for your gals! : ) Happy hunting everyone! PS - Tried to look for the metal chairs referenced above in the US store.. seems like the southern Michael's dont have them right now... /cry ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho
Jezrah Posted February 12, 2013 One thing I found in Michael's was a table and chairs made for 18" dolls. They come individually boxed, unassembled, and unfinished. I think it was $30 for the table and $20 for each chair, but then Michael's often has coupons. I picked them up one at a time so that I could use a 40% off coupon on each. They're a little short for DDs, but perfect for MDDs, so I sewed up some seat cushions to help with the height. Here's a picture of mine painted up and in use They can be found in the isle with all the wooden things, like unpainted boxes and shelves.
