How easy is it to swap busts on DDIII

Recommended Posts

DominiqueB

I'm about to order my first DD, and I was wondering how hard is it to swap busts and can it be done on a semi-regular basis without weakening her internal skeleton?

I'm thinking of getter her with a L Shapely bust, but I'm not sure if I will like it and was thinking of also getting an M-bust for her too.

Must easier than the DD2. The bust just slips off on the DD3 once you remove the arms. You can switch it as many times as your want and it shouldn't do much to the skeleton. Just be careful of the neck joint when putting the bust on.

Yup. As juu-Yuki said its very easy.

I recommend getting the aluminum reinforcements from Coolcat for the internal

Frame if you want to protect the shoulder part. It's a weak piece that's prone to cracking and pulling the arms in and out very often (when you swap the bust) can cause wear to it.

its e3asy to swap takes about 2 minutes. but you do need to remove head and arms each time. so if you do it like alot it will eventually make the shoulder joints floppy

making my triumphant return

Thanks for the info guys, this internal skeleton thing is so different from the elastics I'm used to in BJDs.

Those shoulder rings look like they would be prone to breaking over time from over use.

The aluminium reinforcement is much sturdier than the plastic. They're a must for new body owners. I highly recommend them and the hip join reinforcement pieces. All my DDIII, DDS, and DDdyIII's have them.
