Neris in her default outfit. (Image heavy)

I've been really bad about getting some pictures taken of my girls, especially Neris - my newest one. Thankfully I've taken a week of vacation from my job which I really plan on enjoying. Along with a schedule change back to a more normal Monday - Friday, I don't have to be back at work till June 20th!

 

 

Today I finally got around to taking some photos.

I got this cute little teddy bear from Dollmore.net for only $4!!! It even can move it's arms and legs a little. It seems all my girls love him so I'm going to have to order some more soon.

 

I decided to take some detail shots of her default outfit since it's so adorable.

 

For the photo nerds out there (Like me) I took the photos about with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens. For the photos below I used a cheap Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 lens. I like how the longer focal length changes the perspective in the photo but it's tough trying to get space to back up about 10-12 feet from the subject to be able to focus right.

 

 

 

 

 

At the end of the photo shoot Neris decided that since we were showing off her cute outfit to all our friends online they should see the cute shimapan that she got with them as well.

 

 

She's so adorable, she's a bit shy and still can't bring herself to look at me yet.

 

She keeps saying she's embarrassed. I tried to make her feel better by letting her know she had pantsu on, so she really wasn't 'bare-assed'. She just threw a pillow at me. ???

Neris is adorable! She's so cute with her teddy bear. Her outfit is excellent. I like those jingly things on her shoulders, her boots and her shimapan!

Thanks Galvatim, she really loves that teddy. I do love her outfit but it's a bit of a pain to put on so I wanted to really get as many photos of her in it as I could before she changes. It may be a while before she gets it back on again.

Haha - she may need the ammunition. I was hoping a joke would get her over being shy but I don't think she was really in the mood for a joke yet. Maybe I'll just make an ice cream peace offering.

Also. of course she would throw the pillow at you That's a bad attempt to assure her... Tried that on Mashiro before. The last thing I see is something really sharp flying towards me...

Oooh, thanks for posting these. Though I get a little depressed every time I see a Neris or Airy, but it's nice to see such good shots of her.

 

This sigma seems to have more color saturation or is that just me or the lighting.

I love, love her default outfit! It's nice that you took some detail shots of it. The teddy looks like to be a good companion for her.

Thanks Averis. Sorry you have to wait but just think how excited you will be when they get here!!! What's happening with the 2nd set of photos isn't so much the lens switch but the fact I got away from my stupid green walls.

 

A few months ago I got rid of my desk and setup a new computer workstation, I left about a 3 foot long section free so I could easily photograph my girls. The problem I'm having is light from my flashes bounces off the wall the I get a mix of light color and the white balance goes crazy!!!!

 

The 2nd set of shots, with the darker background, are taken about 5 or 6 feet away from the walls with the girls on a U stand attached to a tripod. Just pure flash so the color is consistent and no white balance problems.

 

The idea of painting my entire room doesn't appeal to me. I like the look of the walls and I'm rather lazy. haha I'm planning on getting a white background for that section so I can get back to normal looking shots again.

As for your green walls... could you just buy some white sheet and pin them up over the walls when you take photographs? That way you could take them down easy again, if need be... not repaint your walls, and not have to worry too much about setup. (I have no idea what this room really looks like... so maybe that's just crazy talk XD)

I actually have a similar idea already in the works. I bought a 40"X60" collapsible photography reflector on Amazon this morning.

 

 

I plan on using the white side as a background for this photo area. Since it's so big I can just have it on the ground between the desk and wall and not have to worry about mounting it. Plus, I'll have a large reflector if/when I ever need one. I think this should do the trick.

Neris is fantastic in her default outfit. It is so detailed. Red goes great with her brunette hair. She is adorable hugging that little teddy bear! I love her cute pantsu, too!

They're default from Volks. One color for Airy the other for Neris. I'm guessing since those didn't sell out it was their way of using up stock. I agree they don't go with the outfits.

A bra? Volks sells several different ones. I'm sure people here can point you to plenty of other sellers that have them as well. If you mean the striped underwear those are from Volks as well.

I have a 32" round one just like it and it's very handy. It takes a little time getting used to the way it folds up and I'm sure the large one will be the same.

Ok, I may have suggested something but that's all. I figured since it was part of her default outfit it deserved a little attention. haha

 

I agree that shimapan doesn't seem to fit her outfit but since she's a Japanese video game character I guess it was as good a choice as any. I also like them so I was pretty happy to get another pair.

 

I managed to get my other 4 girls into their new outfits today and now it's time for Neris to pick something new to wear as well. I wonder what she wants to try? Photos soon.
