Funny thing is, the pantsu are probably the only part of their default outfits that I'll use.

Great idea using the reflector as a background. If you need a "floor" for them to stand on, by the way, check the self-adhesive tiles at a hardware store, they've got all kinds of colors and styles, they're less than $1 a piece, and you only need six or so, plus a piece of cardboard to stick them too.

 

As for a reflector for its actual purpose, I can't recommend the Lastolite Trigrip, or at least one of the knockoffs enough. (search "Triangular Reflector" on Amazon) They're so much more practical to handle, and a billion times easier to fold, than a normal round or oval one.

Very nicely set of photo you did thire of Neris, i bet you spend a long time at this session too. But as the photos show, it was time very well spent. and the best part is, you even took the time to brush her hair... most of the Neris pictures on the net now had messy hair.

Thanks for the info about the floor tiles, I never would have thought about that but it's a great idea. If I really get into photography I'd love to get one of those trigrips. Trying to hold the round collapsible ones while taking pics is a pain. For this series of photos I used the stand I have for the reflector but that was another set of issues.

Thanks Otakusan. Her hair has been a bit of trouble for me. I've already trimmed her bangs a few times trying to keep them from covering her one eye all the time. I've used spray oil and "mist" to try to keep it brushed to the side but it has a strong natural desire to cover her eye.

 

I did some more trimming on it since these photos and it's looking better I think.

Great photos! Those detail shots are really cool, I never realized the boots had that tiny embroidery. And for some reason I thought the pink bow attached to the braid Aeris-style. They should hire you to do the Volks product photos next time! These are way better than what's on the store website.

Thank you, you are being way too kind. The bow is attached to the neck piece of her "shirt" but unfortunately the attachment hook happens in the front of her neck (under her chin) and it's really tough to get her bow to be level on her. Once you get it perfect the slightest move will cause it to shift again.

 

I guess if it could be removed from the outfit and then have a safety pin attach it to the clothes after they are on or maybe just hand sew a few stitches to get it to be more level.

As for your green walls... could you just buy some white sheet and pin them up over the walls when you take photographs? That way you could take them down easy again, if need be... not repaint your walls, and not have to worry too much about setup. (I have no idea what this room really looks like... so maybe that's just crazy talk XD)

Congrats iomi, I think you will really love Neris. She's a great DD. Just remember to have some patience with her wig, it's a bit snug to get on at first. Not that bad but just not the easiest one I've ever tried.

 

Salica, haha - I think nobody mentions anything to Otaku-san is because his photos are so fantastic. His girls are always posed to well also.

 

I should get the new background tomorrow so I'll try that out. If it doesn't work out then I may try getting some white fabric and drape it over a backdrop.
