Broken dollfie leg joint, please help

Recommended Posts

Nanoza

Hello. I noticed a little while ago that miku's leg joint was loose. I tightened the screw but the plastic inside the leg has snapped so I cannot tighten it. Now the leg is broken and falls down. Is there any way to buy a new lower leg part or fix this? Thank you

Can you take a picture? I might've had the same thing happen? :o Does it look like the shin/knee skeleton is just falling out of the knee hole? If so, then it's probably a loose screw within the thigh.

Hi, I am sorry I can't take the picture, I cannot find my battery charger ATM. The screw within the knee part will not go in all the way because it appears to be damaged on one side, where it screws in (Looks like it needs a longer screw). The leg will stay on, but it flops down. So unfortunately the problem is that it cannot be tightened due to damage. Never happened with my others though.

i take it its a type 2 body. what you can do is take out the screw. put in a longerscrew and a washer/nut. thighten and you should be gut to go. thats what i can think of without looking at the knee. but cant you take pictures with your phone or something

Yeah, I thought I needed a longer screw too. I need to find out which screw type it is.

Here is a picture I used, I believe poofiemus originally took this. I apologies if I am not allowed to use it but I circled the problem part. I also cannot separate the leg joint so it would be pointless to take a picture (it already has a large crack down the side) I tried a longer screw but it will not work. So, since it will not separate (tried oil) I guess her leg will always flop down. Yes, I removed everything that could possibly be stopping it from separating.

did you remove the ring holding the 2 piecews together?

anyways. here my idea. use a drill bit to enlarge screw hole partially on both sides. like halfway or so.

put in a washer and then the screw and nut to hold it together

Hi, I did remove the ring. The screw hole is only on one side so I would have to do it all the way through, but looking at that large crack, I may have to poxy that together before I try so it doesn't fall apart.

That does sound like a good idea though.

only 1 side??? in that case drill through it in a small drill bit so you know where the hole is. then use the large to drill partially in. its just to make space for the washer anyways.
