Hmm, some new pics of Alice. I'd still love to see a close up of her face or what she looks like in a different outfit. I had thought that maybe I didn't love her mouth, but now I'm unsure again.

Summer is not too far off, glad we won't have to wait too long for semi-white parts to be released!

 

Wonder if we have the luck to see Alice dressed in non-black outfits before this Dolpa, I imagine her to be cute in bright outfits too.

I love the baseball outfit with the skirt and the blue frilly bloomers outfit! Time to play the click-wars.

Do we know what time (Japan time) the click war will be yet?

No, we don't. The schedule for the online after-event will be released, well, after the dolpa event .

Hi guys, sorry I'm new to this, I have a few questions:

 

Does the international online after event happen before the Volks USA lottery?

 

And by the looks of the prices, the after event would be cheaper than the USA lottery correct?

 

My husband wants an Alice, and it says on her page, she might not be able to ship until August. Does Volks usually collect payment right then and there or wait until shipping time?

 

Is Alice a popular mold this time around? (aka will it be hard to get her? lol)

Ussually it's about 2 weeks after, but i don't think they have announced a date.

yup, by quite a bit, at current exchange rates. probably $100-150 less

In most cases both Volks and Volks USA will want payment soon after being notified of winning.

I'd estimate that she's getting about average interest. At least some people who enter will likely end up not getting one. With Volks USA higher price I think some will shy away from entering upping the odds there.

I suggest that you buy from the international lottery volks usa is a bit expensive right now >.<

 

About Alice's price, I have a feeling her price would increase since she is a Type Moon after all and just last dolpa Aoko another Type Moon become expensive

sure its cheaper. but your not the only one thinking that. the number of available alices is set. so if they all do this your chances will be smaller. its better to get the us alice then try out for a alice on yja later on

The international lottery will likely be 18 May, same time as the domestic JP After-Event.

 

I'd suggest voting with your wallet and not giving VolksUSA your business for any reason until they fix the exchange rate. If enough people do, that will give them leverage they need with the Japan HQ to fix the rate faster.

arent you afraid that they will see the shift back to japan and think hey us isnt doing that gut. so we dun have to send them that much dolls. or even worse. why do we need a us office lets scrap it in whole. i mean they still are still selling the dolls. save up in overhead costs

No, I wouldn't be afraid of that at all. The USA management knows full well what the reason would be if they see less interest in this particular lottery. Remember the employees are in the hobby themselves too.

 

Only a week now until the actual Dolls Party in Japan. I've got my warchest of funds ready in hand, and look forward to getting my shopping list finalized so that I can find out whether I'll have to prepare any more. I'm going to bring the money to buy everything I (and others) want, but with the foreknowledge that I won't actually be able to get it all.

amen... maybe if it was a very extremely popular gal coming out would I briefly consider going thru volksusa first. just because it's a gamble and you might have a higher chance since the price is a little higher and it would make people go only for the Volks Intl one. But it'd have to be some very awesome gal though... esp for 130ish$ more dollars. o__O

After what I've seen custom heads go for on YJA...it scares me the idea of knowing how much Volks makes out of these...

Thanks! But nah, my comment wasn't reflecting a liquidity issue, but rather a volume access issue. Even though I'll have the money to buy, I don't think one person is gonna be allowed to buy as many things as people are wanting. Sadly I don't get any special allocations from Volks - I am just a regular buyer who has gotta fight over stuff just like anyone else!

 

(and I get sad when my own stuff is out of stock just like everyone.. >_< Compared to when I lived in the US, these days it's easier for me to get whatever clothes I want, but much harder to get fullset dolls.)

They actually don't make anything on these dolls. These one-offs are auctioned for Volks One For All, which is a charity to help the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake victims.
