The vest was made by my Mom's friend Anne. She also makes all the PJ's and kimonos people here have. She was just trying out some odds and ends to see how they would work. I was dressing the girls up in different stuff when I suddenly wondered what Rei would look like on a DDdy body. Mai was right there so I swapped heads. So I had Rei standing there and Manami was sitting there looking at the computer screen. It made total sense for her to want to grab some "Rei 2.0" as she was standing there. And of course, Rei was having none of that. So you are so very close! If you're warped, then I guess I am as well! Here are two pics of Mai with Rei's body, one is her cosplaying Rei, the other is with her default wig. I like Mai as Rei, she's quite cute! Yeah, Rei doesn't look like she would let Manami touch her at all. That is why it is so funny. Her expression is perfect. Exactly! I also thought Rei had the perfect "back off" look here. I'm planning on making them for all the girls for a future photoshoot. This one is made with 1 sq inch squares. Total: 37 pieces of paper folded by hand, 1 hour of time. A friend of mine is really big on the whole Geisha/Maiko thing so she's been pestering me to make yukatas and the such for my incoming gals (She owns resins and has a strong affinity for Ichiko, so I have this odd feeling in the future she'll either be "borrowing" a gal of mine for sewing projects or end up with one of her own. XD) I don't think Ichiko minds wearing them at all. She says she "feels like some sort of princess." XD I guess this means I'll have to make her a couple of sets just for her.
