As probably many of you, I received my new Saber lately and I can't get enough of her. As for now, she seems to get along with Isabelle quite well. You can say they have some things in common

Thank you. This sweater came with my Hujoo Io girl. But as soon as I saw it I knew it really belong to Shampoo.

I've tried buying some wigs for Iori but it's been tricky. I bought one wig from Licht and it's like Rapunzel, she's so small (well just enough) that wigs become huge. However, I love how she looks in Sakuya's old wig, from Crobi. It's a bit big for her (bangs are too long), but it might be hers now...

I also got the feather accessory set (the chain and feather on her skirt and the hair pin) which is sold separately. It really makes the set work.

I wanted to add a little info about that wig. I've read your old threads (and most of this entire forum ) and if I recall correctly that is CRWML-80, one you've had a while. I also know that, I believe in the Rin T thread, you mentioned a newer wig you bought from Crobi was finished a little more sloppily and needed trimming.

 

This may have gotten worse. I bought the same CRWML-80 in the same color as yours on Iori there. I have tried it on a DDH-07 which I believe is one of Volks' larger heads. It was really tight to get on and really only goes down about as far as the seam between the headcap and head on that head.

 

With it like that, the bangs are so long on mine that they completely cover the eyes. If you try to push the bangs to one side a bit, which would require some wig wax etc. to make them stay, the part it creates looks too high up on the head. Because of that, if you pull the wig cap any further back it doesn't look right and will also tend to pop off.

 

I know from your info and other things here, various Crobi wigs are tight in the 8" "ML" size but that this one was less so, so perhaps they have changed their sizing over time.

 

Random thoughts that may not be very helpful but mostly I just wanted to point out it's likely that new wigs of this type from them are going to need their bangs trimmed, especially on a head like Iori's that I assume is a bit smaller. I'm going to get mine trimmed and then I'm sure I'll love it but just wanted to offer that info for others who might want to get these wigs.

 

I wanted to add I always enjoy your pictures and they've sold me on a lot of clothes and DD stuff in general.

TBH I end up spending time with this wig to gently brush the bangs around until they look natural, and even on Sakuya I do have to pull it back so the bangs go above the eyes. There's enough volume though that (at least with Sakuya's head, which isn't too big) I can move chunks of her bangs around and place them for style, such as with this or this.

 

With Iori it's pretty hard because the hair has to travel the curvature of her head from the roots, so moving it side to side to spread out the bangs can expose a lot of her forehead. Although her forehead is her signature trait...

 

I don't really want to trim the bangs short because they're nicely cut as is and I'd probably ruin them.

 

DDH-07 is known to be a big head, I don't know firsthand if it's Miku-big Miku definitely wants their 9-10" wigs.

This wig is "larger" than the other black 8" wig I have on Yaya. That one was really tight when I got it and I had to struggle to get it on her head (and it didn't come off that easily, which I didn't really mind).

I'd have to double-check, but I think that still wouldn't get it above the eyes for me, though it's probably have it where they were just partially covered where it could be brushed around.

Ah yes, "Forehead-chan" hehe. That pic of Sakuya in the chair I think is what originally sold me on this wig. My wig if I brush the bangs around much like that I end up with a gap up top where it becomes obvious I'm exposing a lot of forehead. It might be fixable with styling with heat or wig wax, or it may just be mine isn't as full.

Yours looks so good I wouldn't want to either. Mine is trimmed pretty sloppily and I'm going to see if a hairstylist friend will do it for me; I figure other than it being smaller than what she normally does she'll be able to do it nicely.

Miku is apparently larger. I don't have her to compare, but Wolf has measured the cirbleepference of some heads around the seam for me. DDH-07 measures apprximately 8-3/4" and Miku around 8-7/8" iirc.

 

I have several 07 heads and it seems like the head caps have gotten softer on the newst ones, to the point it makes it hard to get these tight wigs on because the head cap just starts collapsing.

I didn't have as much trouble getting it on, but I'm not sure it's any larger than this one, it may just be it not being as long I had less trouble handling it.

 

I'm going to try one of their 9-10" wigs because it's a style that doesn't otherwise exist, but as tight as these are I'm concerned that may still be too loose and require a head cap or more to fit well.

Riesz she's super duper cute! But I think she's off-topic here? I think outside the Lounge sub-board, posts have to be about DDs/photos have to at least have a DD in them to stay on topic.

But I hope your DDs do arrive before christmas cos it would be really cute to see them holding her. Lil fairies and picco neemos are a really great size for dolls-for-dolls.

Talk about random, here is one for you.

 

 

One of my nephews has a stuffed penguin that he takes everywhere, and he wanted a Barbie bed for Christmas for it to sleep in. Being poor I thought I could make a bed. My mother-in-law said she had some extra fabric from a blanket she was making him so I took it thinking I could make some sheets for the bed to match his blanket. Whelp life happened and I ran out of time to make a bed. So I though I could make sleeping bag and pillow. So that's Illya testing out the pillow and sleeping bag before we wrapped it up for him. It really didn't take that long to do, but it sure was a pain with the zipper and all. My mother-in-law was very impressed I sewed the zipper in. I guess that's a hard thing to do? It's really only the third thing I've sewn. One of these days I might actually work on making sleeping bags for my girls for when we go traveling.

As I scrolled down the page and saw your picture, with the roadways on that floormat(?) at first glance I thought Ilya was sleeping on your railroad layout.

 

Anyway that's cute. I especially like the little pillow.

So far no one has tried sleeping on the layout. I've been lucky that even the cats haven't gone up there.
