Shipping/Receiving Question!

Hey guys!

 

I bought some items from Mandarake last month (January 27th, as a matter of fact), and I still haven't received them. I do have a tracking number and it was sent REGISTERED airmail, not EMS. Since it'll be 1 month starting next week, I'm extremely worried. I haven't had an update since the 29th.

 

I just wanted to know if this is normal? I usually get items shipped via EMS and while these weren't really expensive items, they were outfits I REALLY wanted for my girls, so I'm scared something possibly happened. Do you think I should inquire with my post office or do you think they'll still show up on their own?

 

D: I just wanted to see what other opinions were on this. I've never had registered mail take this long personally, but maybe I've been lucky.

even registered airmail has tracking number no??

The last time I asked a seller about registered mail, they told me it typically takes 10-16 business days (so 2-3 weeks) for items to arrive, and they can take a little longer depending on weather, holidays, etc. So I wouldn't be surprised if they don't arrive this week... maybe make an inquiry if you don't have them by the end of the day Friday (2/22)?

 

I don't think customs is the culprit. US customs are very fast b/c they don't have to assess any duties/fees. Most of my items are released in hours, and I've never had anything held longer than 2 days.

 

ETA: Also, my last registered mail package didn't have its tracking update until AFTER it had delivered. It was shipped... and then no tracking updates for weeks... and then suddenly I had a package!

Thanks for the input. I was going to give it until 02/27 to arrive because that would be one month. I think the last registered mail coming from Mandarake I had took 3 weeks to get here... so maybe it's just being really slow for some reason.

 

Shinegamix, the last information with the tracking says "We have received notification to expect your package". so basically USPS is telling me it's not in Japan anymore... but I haven't seen anything saying it's in the US either.

Yes, it's pretty normal for it to take about forever.

However when it gets over 1 month, it might be time to start worrying.

 

Even though it's registered, one of my packages was lost in LA when it was shipped last July. I've contacted Mandarake multiple times about this package but they always replied with "investigating"... I still haven't received this package as of today.
