MSC problems?

Recommended Posts

Cazzie_Bliss

Okay, I sprayed MSC on my girl earlier and now I've looked after she's dried she has like a lot of little specs over her face you can see in the light, like they're a slightly darker colour to her skin and I don't know what they are. I can't capture them on a photo cuz my camera sucks but as anyone had this problem? (Faceups just hate me)

EDIT: Photos. I can't capture all the specs as my camera refuses to do it :T But I captured some! I was really happy with this faceup too

Ummmm.... Will need photos to tell you exactly what it is.

But MSC runs on a few things and if you don't get them all right you will have some problems.

- Temperature

- Humidity

- Environment (Where you are spraying and how clean it it.

- Set time

- Distance

Is it a new head or an older one? ... What you explain sounds like an other problem ... But i am not 100% sure if it is.

Older head

Hm than it sounds like pores like on a real skin.

I saw it on more than 3 heads. (my ones and others)

The DD heads have really small pores... really like real skins. And if an head goes older and older than it pick dirt in it in several years. From touching and dust and so on...

I dont now if its that what you explained. Only a try XD ...

(And i must say i really dont know what "specs" are >////<)

There are some things that could effect an msc coat. First, what was the weather like? I've found before that extreme temperature, both too hot and too cold can have an effect on how the coating takes. Also, rain and humidity are an immediate no no for spraying conditions. You should spray somewhere that is not windy, if it is a windy day, make sure you spray behind a shelter of some sort, otherwise your spray will be distributed unevenly.

Outside of weather, the other main issues are surface dirt and spraying distance. If there is any dust, dirt or oil on the head then the spray will not coat evenly. The head should be thoroughly washed, then rinsed and dried before spraying. When drying the head, don't use anything with lots of fibres as they could stay on the head. With the spraying distance, you don't want to spray close to the head and you are better to do many light coats instead of trying to do a couple of thick coats.

For full details on msc and using it, I like this page http://www.nonaptime.com/2012/09/mr-super-clear/

Could it be specs of dust that got sealed in?

Or, it almost sounds like how Mikuru's head looks (and body). Almost looks grainy? Like someone took a photograph with the ISO really high. I guess that's how I'd describe it

Rise - Rise // Rise #2 - Rise // Ritsuko - 2B // Momo - M.O.M.O. // Nayuki -Mikuru // Romi - 09 // Makoto - Sailor Jupiter // Mikasa - DD07 (WIP)
Waiting on: DDH-25 for custom Akechi 🥰

I have an Asuka head that has a rough surface, like very small pits, I think it's just the plastic aging. It's also possible some dust/debris got stuck in your MSC, it's really common. For isolated bits you can sand them off using high-grade sandpaper, clean well, and re-seal.

Could be you simply did not shake the can long enough before applying. You need to shake the can very well before spraying.

My friend told me I probably didn't leave it long enough to dry after I removed the previous faceup and the weather ... was too cold apparently =_= so I've contributed it to that. It could be many things. I will wait until it is nice and warm and sunny to do eeet again!

I find MSC to be very temperamental. If the humidity or temperature is off a little, it gets all rough feeling or pitted, or never dries.
