My girls and the Christmas Tree

I had just finished up a project in the kitchen when I heard Manami calling out to me...

 

M - "Papa! Come look what we found in the closet!"

 

Y - "Yeah, it's really cool!"

 

Oh lord don't let them have found my health materials...

 

 

Rei and Tsubaki: TAH DAAHHH!!! Christmas Tree!

 

 

Oh thank goodness...

 

Ok, Manami, you and Yoko go and sit by the tree so I can get a picture of all of you together.

 

 

So you girls like the tree huh?

 

M - "Oh yeah! All the lights are very pretty!"

 

Y - "I agree, it's so pretty! And it's almost our size!"

 

 

Well, if you like this, I can't wait to show you what I was working on earlier. Rei, how about you go into the kitchen and tell us what you see on the table in there.

 

R - "Alright Papa, as long as it's cool and not something stupid..."

 

Trust me Rei, you will like it.

 

 

So Rei, did you see anything?

 

R - "You guys will NOT believe what is in the kitchen! It's HUGE! Come and see, quick!"

 

 

Everyone scampers into the hall and when I catchup, they are all standing in the hallway in awe.... All I can hear is "Oooooo, ahhhh!"

 

 

M - "PAPA! Why didn't you tell us you were doing something like this??"

 

T - "Wow, that's friggin enormous!"

 

R - "Papa, YOU have been holding out on us. I demand to know why I wasn't told of this earlier."

 

Y - "Oh wow, it's so SPARKLEY!!!"

 

 

Alright, calm down everyone, all I did was unbox the tree and set it up. Will yall go get in front of it so I can have a nice family picture?

 

"OK!!"

So, who wants to help me decorate the tree with some ornaments?

 

Y - OOOO! ME ME!

 

R - If I don't help, you guys will surely have it looking terrible...

 

M - Oh yeah, this will be fun!

 

T - Can I help too?

 

Here is a box of ornaments for yall to start with....

 

 

Yoko, will you be so kind as to start taking out the ornaments and passing them out to your sisters?

 

"Sure thing Papa!"

 

 

Y - "Wow, these are pretty! And red like Manami and Rei's eyes too!

 

 

M - She's right, these do match my eyes and even my new pendant!

 

 

I tried to get Manami's reflection in the ornament but since it's very small, it was hard to do. But you can kind of see her in there.... as well as me taking the picture. My hands and the camera look HUGE.

 

 

R - "Well, this isn't really the same as my eyes. This is more of a deep crimson and my eyes are more a lighter blood color..."

 

It's close enuff Rei, quit nitpicking with Yoko.

 

 

Tsubaki, are you alright?

 

T - Yeah! Can I hang this one here? Will that be ok?

 

Of course. You hang them wherever you want to Tsubaki, it will be fine.

 

T - Alright!

 

 

Y - I think this will go good right here....

 

 

She is soooo adorable!

 

 

Rei, how is it going with you?

 

R - Well, I could put this here but then it would be a bit high compared to the one over there. Maybe if I put it down here it would be more parallel with...

 

Don't overdo it Rei, just put them wherever. They'll be fine.

 

R - Hush Papa! I have to do this right or it won't look good!

 

Have fun dear...

 

 

M - Papa, where should I put this one? It's the last one in this box.

 

Wherever you like Manami. I'll go and get another box for us to put up, I'll be right back.

 

 

When I get back with more ornaments, I am greeted with this spectacle....

 

 

What are you two doing? Get down from there! You could fall and get hurt Manami!

 

M - No I won't. Yoko has me covered. Besides we needed to put these up higher since the low branches were full.

 

 

Y - Yeah Papa, I have her back, she isn't going to fall.

 

Well, yall gave me a scare, that's all. Please be careful and let me hang the higher ones up...

 

 

Well, now that we are done with all the ornaments, how about you take a step back and see how it looks?

 

R - Hey Tsubaki, you did good kid.

 

T - Thanks Rei Rei!

 

R - Don't call me that ever again...

 

M- We did good Yoko.

 

Y - Yeah, we sure did.

Ok girls, I'll be right back after I put these other things away we didn't use.

 

M - Hey, don't you think something is missing Yoko?

 

Y - I think you're right. I saw something in that box over there that looked like it was supposed to be on top.....

 

M - Go grab it then and we'll surprise Papa!

 

Surprise me indeed.....

 

 

Are you two completely INSANE??? What are you DOING???

 

 

M - Surprise Papa! We put the Angel on top of the tree for you!

 

Y - Yeah! Aren't we great?

 

Yoko is trying to make things seem better than they are. But seeing her peeking thru the branches was too good to pass up for a photo.

 

 

Ok, ok, I appreciate your help but PLEASE GET DOWN. You two don't realize how bad you could get hurt doing that!

 

M - Papa, you worry too much! I totally trust Yoko. She is really strong and would never drop me.

 

Y - Nope, no way I'd let my sis take a fall Papa. She's not heavy at all!

 

 

Well, regardless, I'm glad neither of you got hurt. You should have waited for me to help you.

 

M - It's okay Papa, we're fine and the tree looks good now.

 

 

M - Hey Yoko, move behind me. I know what will make Papa feel better..

 

Y - Ahh! I gotcha. Here Papa, some hugging pics for you!

 

 

Now look here you two, you can't pose your way out of trouble all the time!

 

M - Sure we can't...

 

Sigh.... I really hate being so easy to read. Well, here's what the Angel looks like up top.

This is a fantastic post! They are all so cute. That photo of Yoko could easily become an internet legend!

Thank you very much Mitsuki! I seriously doubt that picture will become legend but I am really happy with that one. It captures Yoko's happy and bubbly personality perfectly. And I'm glad you like it too!

 

And after seeing your Peanut Butter Cookie post, I'd have to say THAT is fantastic. Looks like I'll have to up my game in order to hang with your powers of awesome.....

Hey thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the picture of Manami. She did look very pretty kneeling like that. She's adorable when she wants to be!

 

And the whole gang had a blast decorating. They keep wanting to do another tree but it's hard to explain I don't have space for another, much less the money.
