Pure Neemo

January 16th is Yuta's birthday so I took some pics of my Yuta twins.

I'm kinda disappointed they didnt show the Otogi no Kuni Yuta/Aoto at Doll Show yesterday, would have been perfect timing for Yuta's birthday. They did confirm they're making OnK Yuta/Aoto though, so maybe they'll show em at Wonfest in February or the next Doll Show in March. I'm so impatient, I'm ready to have Yuta triplets if the new one is cute enough/different enough to any of the existing Yutas. (Still holding onto my hope that they'll be based on Puss in Boots. One could be Puss and the other could be the boy Puss makes rich. If they don't it'd be a crime to make an entire series based on fairy tales without that one)

 

EDIT: may as well add some news, Azone confirmed at Doll Show that the new body they're working on will become standard from the next series of Ex Cutes. I dont know when the first of those will be out, or what the series will even be, but we'll probably know in the next few months now that Otogi no Kuni only has Yuta and Aoto to go. (unless they wanna squeeze in those two new girls but I doubt it)

Looks like there will be heel feet too!

 

I wonder if they'll get it out before obitsu gets theirs out?

 

(oh and speaking of new doll series the new Sahra's A La Mode series is based on cat breeds ;-; this could be the one that makes me cave...we'll see.)

I actually bought the magazine solely because I heard Aoto and Yuta would be in it and I assumed that everyone else was going to have to wait longer to see them (like with Sorane and Tsukiha) but then they showed them at Doll Show the next day anyway. Oh well, it was the first time I'd bought Dollybird and I was surprised at how nice it is, its more like a book than a magazine, with a dustcover and all, so that was a nice surprise.

 

The new Aoto and Yuta are flippin adorable though.

They're also getting a regular preorder and not a clickwar, although that means they arent coming out for ages ('2017 winter', but I won't be surprised if they're delayed).

 

I'm also really interested in their new line which has a name now, ''Alvastaria''. It's apparently steampunk themed. I'm not gonna lie, I honestly kinda hate steampunk and have no idea why it suddenly flared up in Japan after it finally started going away in the west, but I kinda like these two kids (probably because they dont have any pointless gears and clocks randomly stuck on them and their outfits are more ''steampunk lite'' to me).

Their names are Katey and Neil,(which I'm sure sounds cool and exotic to Japanese fans) and I'm really excited for Neil because he'll be Azone's first original S sized boy. And just look how flippin cute his face is.

Apparently its been tweaked a bit since the prototype that was shown at Wonfest.

We can also see him wearing one of the spiffy new 3 piece suits coming out, with Aoto and Yuta.

 

I'm really tempted to get all 3 of these boys but I really dont know if I should or not. Yuta and Neil are a given, but damn, Happy Prince Aoto is just too cute, and I have a huge weakness for princes...

Welp, after owning these 4 girls for well over a year, I'm finally able to share some photos of them with new outfits!

 

The reasoning behind this is because I don't have any place in my DD storylines for these girls so they kind of get neglected and I've yet to buy them anything before now. But one thing I said I'd do when I went to Japan was to hit the Azone store and actually spend some cash on these girls for a change. So I did.... I *really* did.

 

So here they are, showing off their long awaited new clothing!

 

First up is Kobato in an absolutely adorable little sailor boy style outfit. I saw this online and knew I had to get it for her.

All the girls also got new undies, new shoes, new socks and A LOT of other random things and outfits not shown here. I'll share pics of those later on after we get tired of these outfits.

 

They just got dressed last night so it was fun to see them having fun and looking even cuter than before.

Huh, they don't look even vaguely steampunk to me, except that Neil's outfit is Victorian-ish. The details on it are really fantastic, I have to say. The minute shirt stripes! The absolutely minuscule button on the collar!

I'm actually quite curious about those buttons, if they are in fact beads and not heat-attached disks like the vest buttons seem to be. Seed beads of that size were made during the nineteenth century by hand, and you can still buy these 150-to-200-year-old specimens online, but what I read was that they aren't made any longer. If Azone has got a supplier to make them, that could be quite exciting, because of the potential for doll clothes--tiny buttons like these and also elaborate beadwork on 1/3 evening gowns (the reason I was originally looking them up).

 

I quite like Katie, too, because of her slightly melancholic smile. She looks rather mysterious.

I've decided to pass on trying to get the Alice's Tea Party Minami right now (I'll try to hunt her down in the future), because I have successfully hunted down an exclusive meowxmeow Alisa from YJA and now there's this exclusive Sahra that has popped up out of nowhere! The new version of Snow White Princess Aika is quite nice too...

Oh man, so much this!

I was trying to put the brakes on my Neemo collecting, and then they released a bunch of adorable Raili and Minami variants! At least I think I'll be safe from the steampunk series.

I preordered Neil yesterday - I can't resist his cute face.

Although, in light of him going up for preorder Azone made a blog post to explain the new pure neemo S boy body...while they didn't do it when the Hetalia boys first went up I dont know but they compare it to the XS boy and the S girl. And I gotta say it's...kinda weird?

As you can see it's literally a reedier version of the XS boy rather than a boy version of the S girl. It even has XS hands instead of S hands and the girl is noticeably chunkier. I dont particularly mind because I kinda just wanted Neil as an older brother to my Yutas but I imagine a lot of people might be kinda disappointed in this - I know heaps of people have wanted a male counterpart to the S-sized ex cute girls for ages as a boyfriend/etc so finding out that the body doesn't really seem to be that is kinda weird.

 

Unless 'boy counterpart to girls S body' is what the M male body is? I've never seen that without clothes, and America and Germany are the only characters to use it so far (and I dont even think America is released yet) but all the photos of America I've seen his hands looked really weird and small and now I'm wondering if they're also XS hands?!

So if anyone here could point me in the direction of a place that can help with that, that would be very appreciated. I don't really know where to go with "used" condition girls and boys besides ebay, but I'd really rather not if there's somewhere better for them. Hopefully asking such a thing isn't against any sales rules here or anything, but if this gets deleted, I understand lol.

Well, I crocheted some tops for etsy, but my girl looks nice in them ^0^ I should buy some yarn to make some for her...

 

I went to the Azone store in Akihabara, and you can buy parts from the other Lil' Fairy's default outfits! I started out getting just Neilly's cap, but I couldn't say no to the boots & goggles. Plus by spending enough money I got a cute Lil' Fairy cloth bag.

 

 

They actually dedicated a corner of the store to Lil' Fairy, and had them all on display behind a glass cabinet (photos allowed). So adorable :3 The entire cabinet was full of them, these photos are just a small set.

 

 

Alisa arrived today and her face is incredibly squishy. None of my other Azone girls have faces this soft.

 

 

I wonder if they've changed the vinyl for all of their future dolls or if this was a slip in quality control.

My meowxmeow Sahra is nowhere close to bring this squishy.

I posted on myfigurecollection where one other person had ordered her. I may ask those that bought the standard Alisa if those dolls had the same problem.

My Neil arrived today - he's extremely cute, and he was immediately ambushed by his new little brothers.

 

As for his head, I actually thought it felt squishier than my others, but definitely not to the extent that your Alisa looks. For reference, besides Neil my most recent one is Mermaid Princess Minami who came out exactly a year ago. I don't know for sure if Neil actually is squishier or if I just think he might be, though.

 

Do you think its squishy in a bad way? Does it squish very easily, and does it seem like it could damage easily too? Do you think theres any risk of it getting squished out of shape somehow?

I juuust put my reservation in for the Sugar Dream Koron! Miyu (my Komorebimori Bear) is going to have a twin sister it seems... Byakuren's family keeps getting bigger and bigger...

 

Neil is a darling Torino!!! He's absolutely captured my heart (Shailara destroyed me when she showed him to me with a different outfit) but something in me wishes there was a body between Piconeemo and Pureneemo so I could make him into a younger child character if I could get my hands on him! He seems so confused to be assaulted by all the little ones! I hope he gets used to them soon~

For if it's worth it, I think it's for you to decide (ie if you think the hair/ face/ clothes are worth the money). It's really easy to change pureneemo outfits Just like with DDs, you can remove parts to easier put on clothes sometimes (and much less stressful since i've never heard of a PN break since they don't have inner skeletons that are fragile). Personally, I think Takami has a super cute face

Also, Azone clothes are pretty nice quality, I think that you get exactly what you pay for (Ive only been unlucky one time with a seam that was broken when it arrived)

There are a lot of Chika releases, I don't think there are any currently for pre-order...(also small note, while DD pre order means that everyone can buy, from what I've gathered, Azone pre-orders are quantity limited, so some really popular ones sell out very fast) I'm also not sure if there are any European dealers...

 

The sites I prefer to buy from are Hobby Search and Amiami. Fabric Friends and Dolls also has some, for a little more than the others but they offer layaway. Does anyone know any European dealer? o_o

Plasticpop is based in Germany and carries some Azone dolls and items. They don't have a lot so you really need to make sure to check often if there's something that you want. For the most part they offer the more current releases, it's harder to find older releases of dolls and items there.

 

Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they have the doll that you're searching for up for order, Eiko82. :C I admit I haven't been following the character dolls all that closely as I collect Azone's original dolls, so I'm not sure how common it is for Plasticpop to stock the character dolls... The Anthem of the Heart Jun Naruse seems to be the only character doll that is currently available there.

There will be a Chiika preorder this month. Her price will be about 13.000 Yen + fees + shipping.

 

 

Preorder starts at july, 6. I would recommend AmiAmi or Hobbylinkjapan. They are not located in Europe but shipping prices are not too high and they do ship really quick.
