Terri-chan is so cute! Her crown can be a shuriken too. It look so symmetrical and so nicely crafted.

I agree with mitsuki, that sewing machine looks really cool, extra points for it being branded a singer, and resembling those old one's people had to pedal for it to work.

Wow, I never expected to see another sewing machine similar to Naiomi's! Looks like they are from the same time just slightly different finish. I do have to say I'm a bit envious of the black body and shiny sewing plate.

 

 

I took off the piece screwed to the sewing plate because it just got in the way. Mine works too, but is a bugger to use and I'd rather sew with my normal machine.

At first this one was so dusty and was slightly damaged... my dad and I adjusted it, and now it works again!

Later I'll post another picture to show it better.

It was there, all alone, forgot in a corner of my neighbor's cellar. He was so nice to gift it to my girls.

Melissa is extremely happy!

I think Naiomi and she could get along ;3

Mine had belonged to my mom's best friend who had gotten it new when she was a little girl. My mom wanted me to see if I could get it working again so one of my nieces could use it to learn sewing. I oiled it and found out that it can work, but even with over two decades of sewing experience, it was way more aggravating than it was practical. There is no natural way to hold the fabric and work the hand crank at the same time and magically end up with a straight seam. I do find it interesting how it still works without a bobbin, at first I thought something was missing.
