I have some photo stories I want to do, but lately I haven't been trying to find the time... It's probably just a phase. Getting the new Tomb Raider game hasn't helped either... (Seems good so far, besides the overwhelming QTEs, which already destroyed Resident Evil)

Aoi is such a cutie. It's really cool to see them all together like that.

Sometimes it happens to me that I get a little bored with the hobbie but I ever return, so don't worry

 

Your girls are really lovely. They show how versatile the same facemold can be only changing the face up.

I like the last picture with the blue lighting.

Hee hee, it's so cool to see triplets! Even tho each of them is slightly different from the others, they all look so similar it's great. A perfect little set of sisters!

 

I like the kitsune ears thru the hoodie, very cute style. It will be neat to see her and Aya both with kitsune setups!

 

As for what you said about not "feeling" the DD hobby lately, I know what you mean. Things seem to be changing in the hobby and it's not focused on what it used to be. I myself have seen the changes and so have others. I'm still catching back up from getting burned out due to Christmas and all those pics I took. I was totally not feeling it for almost a month after that. but I'm slowly coming back into my stories again and should be back to full speed soon.

 

So don't worry about it, we all get like this sometimes. I've had it happen to me several times in other hobbies too and after a short break, I came back feeling much better and more focused. I'm positive you'll do the same because you truly love your girls and they have a LOT more stories and pictures left in them!

I always love seeing Aois. There is nothing like an Aoi. hehe Aoi x kitsune = extra cute

Triplets are also fabulous. They each have a unique sense of style. I agree Aoi 2nd is much softer in her expression. Aoi 1st looks downright upset. Aoi 2nd can look disappointed from some angles and sweet from others. I love them both and the overall look of the 02 head in general.

 

Sometimes gene expression can be different in the clone. Gene silencing is pretty common. If being a kitsune requires more than one gene, silencing of even just one gene can result in loss of the phenotype.

 

I agree that things are quieter lately. I think with the body shortage then shift to the new bodies being more expensive making customs (which should be the bread and butter of a do-it-yourself hobby) quite expensive, many are disheartened. It seems harder to get limiteds too lately sparking more competition instead of bringing people together. It would be nice if things start improving and the sense of warmth in the community becomes more apparent again.

Yeah, I can't seem to kick my video gaming or Transformers collecting, so I doubt I'll quit DDs.

 

Thanks! It's true, you can create quite a few different characters for one head sculpt. I'm trying to track down a second Haruhi head to have repainted as Kyonko.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to Aya's kitsune reveal, I think it should bring some interesting twists to the story.

 

Given that the second Micheal Bay Transformers "film" wasn't enough to completely kill my interest in the franchise, I know I'm not leaving the DD hobby. I just needed a break. And now I've got the new Tomb Raider, it's been a while since any game captured me like this.

Thanks! Aoi holds a special place for me, being that she's my first DD. She definitely looks upset. Actually, I'm pretty sure she is upset! She can be interesting to write for, although sometimes, I end up feeling as upset as she is... Perhaps the person she's most upset with will finally appear. Or maybe not.

 

Yeah, the body shortage definitely hurt the community. It seems like things are starting to get better on that front. We'll have to see how this next lottery goes, I get the impression Nanami and Lucy 2nd haven't ignited the fandom as much as previous Dolpas.
