I know that SD16 stuff is at least a decent fit for DDDy, but thought that since Volks doesn't say it fits outright I ought to double-check if anyone here's tried it. (Bonus points for pictures!) jadepixel Posted March 19, 2013 I really like that outfit, but I was afraid it might not fit... they released a similar pink set at the same time, which did list both SD16 and DDy in the spec. cptmorgana Posted March 19, 2013 I have both a sd16 and a dddy girl and can take comparison photo's I have two original volks outfits but wasn't really fond of the way they fitted my dddy i found them rather loose on the waist and that seems quite crucial to me with this outfit, but it might be my taste that i find the waist on my dresses to loose. gaiaswill Posted March 20, 2013 Personally, I think it's a strange/lucky coincidence how closely DDdy and SD16 match each other despite having very different proportions. Nutshell differences: DDdy has thinner waist and wider hips & thighs. For this outfit, my opinion is the waist will be a bit loose, but it should still be wearable. YMMV on how acceptable of a fit this is. It really depends on how adjustable the corset skirt is. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Poofiemus Posted April 5, 2013 Well, I caved and got the set off Mandarake: I'm definitely pretty happy with it! The corset part of the skirt has working lacing in the back, so that part at least is fairly adjustable. (However, undoing the lacing to get it over the big ol' DDDy hips would have taken forever, so I ended up taking her upper torso off, threading the under-dress through the skirt, and then putting her back together, lol.) The main issue is the way her boobs push down the top of the corset skirt--I think it's because the DDDy torso is more compact than that of the SD16. I think this could probably be hidden by rolling the top inward a little bit when putting it on so it at least crumples toward the inside. (Side note: I was also a little sad to see how sheer the skirt portion of the under-dress is, as it's too sheer to use by itself, but I think I can work together a white slip to solve that issue.) And btw, I tweaked the dress on Agatha, and rolling the top of the skirt down toward the inside just a hair hides the fact that the cleavage pushes it down. It also fits okay on M bust with the corset skirt, but without it the white dress would be highly prone to wardrobe malfunction. I have a feeling the corset skirt's going to be a mix n match godsend for both girls. (Pardon godawful lighting, don't really have any good lighting solutions for indoor night shots right now) In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
