bethykins Posted March 18, 2013 Hello!! I just got home from a week visiting family to find noumi's body has arrived from SakuraSlyth, problem is I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the thing together >_< is there a tutorial on here at all? bethykins Posted March 18, 2013 Which way round is this supposed to go? The hole for these pegs is far too small >_< I have a gorgeous family of DD girls See my profile for a list of my beauties!!
Nekopon Posted March 18, 2013 For the neck stem, it should be curving backwards. The back is the side the tip is pointing towards. I'm not sure what I'm looking at at the bottom photo... So there's a tight piece.. and...?
Jezrah Posted March 18, 2013 It's the thigh an dthe calf right? Yeah that piece is the hardest to put together. The peg will go in, but you really have to push it, and the sucky thing is that you can't see to line up the peg, so you just have to keep trying til it goes on right. Took me like a half hour just to join the knees for me.

After an hour and a half noumi's body is finally together with a slightly wobbly knee and arm >_< think I'll have a break before I dress her D: I have a gorgeous family of DD girls See my profile for a list of my beauties!! Nekopon Posted March 18, 2013 You're welcome! I agree, that part is always the hardest. Having a hairdryer to make the material slightly soft really helps with this process next time. Congrats on the body!
Averis Posted March 18, 2013 I actually put some legs together recently. The paper that comes with them shows that you need to push the joint in the thigh that connects to the hips down into the thigh so that you can get the peg that connects to the knee joint to pop out from the bottom hole. Then you can easily connect the knee joint peg to the thigh peg without having to guess where it is in the thigh and then push it all connected back up into the thigh. Problem is, the hole in the thigh is way small making it nearly impossible to get the thigh part through it and when you try to push the hip joint back up to the top it doesn't always line up right, causing another issue. But that is what the instructions show and how I did it... after nearly killing my thumb.

SakuraSylph Posted March 19, 2013 THIS! this is how I did it!! But I didn't have any paperwork with my parts so I just had to guess >_< Bleugh. I am only ever going to buy MDD3 bodies in parts as I have no choice >_< All the paperwork that came with the MDD3 parts should have been at the bottom of the box, underneath the flattened original boxes. You do have them, but they're all in Japanese so they may or may not have been helpful ^_^;. I didn't know you hadn't assembled a new body from parts before! Otherwise I would have included instructions on how to do it along with your package. Yes, using a hairdryer to warm up the thigh, push the peg out the hole, attach the shins to it, and push back in is the correct procedure to assemble the legs. Buuuuuut, at least now you know for the next time. Also, DDIII and DDS work the same way, so you now know how to put together any of the body types. blackmercury Posted March 19, 2013 the hardest thing is - attaching dollfie legs. legs are marked R and L in order to avoid confusion ( you can heat this parts a bit and will be a little easier you can see my pictures that I made when assembling my doll (all the text is in Russian) - http://ru.myanimeshelf.com/blog/blackmercury/487599. attaching legs by blackra, on Flickr At home: Natali [1/3 BJD from Doll-Love] Aya [DD Natsuki 2nd ver.] Ami [DD Moe ver.1] Miho [DDH-06 pre-painted + DDS body], Haruka [DDH-07 pre-painted + DD2 body] Sorry for my bad english ^_^
cptmorgana Posted March 19, 2013 wow i wish i had seen these pictures before, these are not on the papers that i got with my doll, but it makes so much more sense than the way i did it. After fiddling with it for an hour and trying to do it in a darkened room (the toilet) wit a flashlight to try and see something through the skin, and even then it didn't work. or is this only possible with the ddIII version? (not willing to try it out on my own doll and go through the agony again, i really thought i had ruined her for good and she was only at my house for 24 hours)
