Face Up Questions

Recommended Posts

Hello there again

I have some more questions about some product along with face up how to.

I've repainted my girl's face about 10 times, and i got about 3 good results but nothing compared to a smooth clean curve. Since then, i've gathered some materials to help me and these are:

(and some stuff i haven't bought)

* 3M Blue Painting Tape

* Mr Masking Sol Neo

* An assorted amount of size 0, size 1, round, monogram liner brushes. (Silver Brush and da Vinci)

I've read from a few gundam forums that Mr Masking Sol Neo will stain sometimes, but that is with gundam models which are what plastic, Polystyrene i believe. Will the Vinyl suffer from a similar fate? Of course i'll be using ZM Powder Spray. So can i assume the sealant will protect / prevent most stain that the masking fluid will cause?

Also with the tape. What is a good way to go about slicing? Last time i attempted this method i just used normal probably cheap masking tape about 3 layer deep with a layer or scotch tape, but when I painted it, the paint just simply bled through the paint. I've never used the blue tape before, even for it's original purpose, painting straight lines or covering surfaces you want to protect I just used an exacto knife and cut a crescent shape into the tape. Should i be trying another method?

Any tips and tricks / tutorial links would be awesome too
