I'm curious to find out what our lil' bluebird is going to look like. At least, since Chihaya will be a doll this time instead of a figure, we can replace the iM@S2 bubblegum pink clothes with her real color of blue. If they're previewing her now, that points to a likely Nagoya Dolpa release in half a year from now.

This question has probably been asked a billion times before, so I apologize.

 

If one is going to try to get outfits on the international site, is that a lottery system or click wars? I'm worried the Volks USA prices will be inflated, so I'd like to try getting the outfits via international site

I'm excited for Alice, and I'll probably try for her. I wonder if she'll have the once piece torso like the new DDS girls though. I see no reason for her to, but it's a possibility. If that were the case I would probably upgrade her to the DD body.

 

As someone said with Idolm@ster being a series i wonder if we can hope to see some of the other girls. I'd personally love to see Takane and Makoto so then I could recreate my favourite scene from Eden (Y'know the one where they're all in the window display?) With Idolm@ster we could also be looking at another tanned DD in the form of Hibiki.

 

The baseball outfits are cute too. I might see if I can get one in a group order, but if not I wont be too disheartened. I am interested in the school uniform set though because it would match Alice quite well. I doubt it would look okay on an S-bust though.

I was never after Asuna to begin with, and now after seeing some better photos I'm definitely not interested in her. Hubby had some rather unflattering comments about her head sculpt @_@ even though her outfit and armor look pretty cool.

 

Alice is beautiful though! Hubby really would like to enter the lottery for her and I adore her alternate outfit!

 

There are a few outfits I'm interested in, but the shoes don't interest me at all. Volks' peep-toed SD shoes just sit well enough on DD feet for me to shell out the money for them.

 

I had the same reaction as Baldylox seeing the re-release/ colour-flip of the lolita outfits from Kyoto 9! It was "Nyyyooooo! Must have!" and I'm hoping for a few other casual outfits from this dolpa too.

I had the same reaction when I looked back and saw those, I missed out the first time so I really want to try and get at least one this this time. The blue one has Lilly's name written all over it!

Alice looks wonderful form the pictures so far. Can't wait to see more~ XD Luckily, it doesn't seem any of these outfits really blew my mind so at least I'm safe from that.

An official Dolpa 29 Request thread will be going up in the approriate forum, now that I know the full extent of what will be available at the event. There are some clarifications for some of the clothing items, so you'll want to look for the news.

• The June Outfit Collection is Saturday, 15 June.
  
• Tenshi no Mado is having another SD fair with a grab bag trunk of items.
  
• The VS/VIP member-only items are two pairs of black SD heel-loafers that also fit DD.
  
• The DD Fanbook Volume 3 is coming out. There will be a vote to decide the cover models in mid-April.
  
• The Akihabara store will have DD Fes 2013 July 13-15. What this is will be spelled out in VN54.
  
• Volks News 54 will come out at the end of June.

This is awesome news, indeed!! Since I'll be joining the International After Party, that gives me 3 months to save up for both dolls! I won't have to sell a kidney yay! Now I shall furiously hope I win both so I don't have to deal with the crazy after market prices.

Of all the dolls, I hope they get Chihaya right. Not too girly and she HAS to be in blue - I must get her and put her in blue. Even if I cannot have her, she has to be right. But I will still try my best. It is Chihaya, I have to try. That is like KOS-MOS is to my husband. lol

Takane, Makoto and Iori...my other "musts". An awesome idea about Hibiki - a tan DDS. That is not out of the realm of possibilities.

 

The IM@S franchise is very, very successful. Now that they have the license, I cannot see them NOT doing the whole group eventually.

These can be very painful. Even being in Japan is zero guarantee of getting anything when it comes to dolls, so one needn't have geographic jealousy here ^_^;. For instance, with Aoko/Melty from last time, I struck out with the three avenues open to Japanese residents.

 

I've noticed that these forums tend to be a pretty good predictor of how hard it's going to be to get dolls from an event. There was an explosion of interest over Aoko/Melty, only a little interest over Lucy/Nanami, and now the Asuna/Alice pair looks to be another very stiff competition.

 

This isn't to say you cannot get your goal doll. But it IS to say you'll have to be lucky or try really hard to get your doll, so you should set your expectations appropriately!

It feels like a pep talk, so thanks, coach. :3 I'll definitely be keeping that in mind. I already have it in my head that I might lose, too. |D So hopefully there wont be any heartbreak.

I'm still torn when it comes to Alice. Sometimes when I look at her, her mouth makes her look very derpy. And sometimes she's really beautiful.... I really need a close up on her face. Luckily I have a while left until I have to decide.
