New things~

The last month or so has been a bit of a whirlwind for me with so much new stuff finding it's way to my doorstep that I need to step back and take a spending break now! I haven't the time currently to do full photo shoots for everything, but I've got a couple nice shots of each bit so I just wanted to compile a quick post including a little bit of everything :3

 

Here we go, arrivals in no order what so ever XD

Melty got a new wig and outfit. I wanted a wig similar in colour and length to her default with but wavy instead of curly as I'm bad at dealing with curls >_< Thanks to Jadepixel I found this wig which was pretty near perfect!. In her illustrations her hair is waved rather then curled anyway so I like her better this way.

 

She got a new outfit because I was just idly browsing yahooJapan one day when I saw this adorable set for sale. I instantly thought "Melty would look great in that!". A fierce bidding war commenced but I was lucky to win it right at my maximum bid!

It really is such a nice dress set though and really does suit Melty, I'm so glad to have it ^^ She has little lace frilled ankle socks to go with it too as a finishing touch, sadly I don't have any photo's with them on show. Doh!

 

Another new wig and outfit combo came for Lilly being the lucky recipient!

The wig is from Cool cat and I have literally been eyeing up for Lilly since they first stocked it XD But I only recently got round to finally buying it for her. It's very long and super soft, the colour is silvery white, it looks very beautiful and shiny in good lighting. For memory reasons, I won't throw her old wig away, but I know she will never wear it again ^^

The outfit Lilly is wearing was another auction win, but this time from ebayUK. It is supposedly a Dollheart blouse and skirt, I don't know if it is or not but I knew that I liked it and it was really cheap so I had to give it a go. I won it for £10 including postage so I was very happy and I think Lilly is too. This set really compliments her delicate and thoughtful personality nicely.

 

Then another new set came.

Another yahooJapan purchase, oops. This set is made by Nosukeman, I had admired their dresses for as long as I have known dollfie dreams. Most dresses go over what I could realistically afford, and although I love them, wouldn't suit any of my dolls at the time. When I saw this set however, I knew Saber Alter just had to have it! I have some sexy black stockings for her to wear with this, but they hadn't arrived for these pictures, so used Nosukemans instead.

After the nightmare I had last year on commissioning the actual Saber Alter casual dress set, I gave up on the dream on having her as that Alter. I decided to continue with the servant theme, but make her a different Saber, my very own Saber. When I saw this Nosukeman dress I had to have it and I was prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of money for it, I only paid 7k yen.

 

Now that Saber had her own dress, I finally ordered a body for her. Finally she was going to be complete. But then, in an act of terrible timing, this happened...

Nekopon made me aware of a Sakuno on Mandarake. 50K, head, eyes and body only. I wanted to buy her so badly, but I just brought Saber's body and I couldn't afford both. I was in a total dilemma, what should I do? In the end, after consulting my partner and some dorrie friends on twitter, I cancelled my Volks order for Saber's body and brought Sakuno instead. I figure body's are always available more or less, Sakuno, not so much. And the amount of times I've missed out on Sakuno in the past, I wasn't prepared to lose her again.

So now, I have this nervous little cutie sitting on my shelf and Saber, she's still just a head in a storage box...again. I swear I can feel her golden eyes staring at me, as if trying to curse me from afar XD she's not very impressed.

 

I must get Saber a body next...

Sakuno does look good blonde but I do have alternative wig pans for he. As for Saber, I'm just glad she can't materialise her weapon xD

I love your new haul! It's so hard in this hobby when things just pop up lol you can't plan for anything, must have sacks with dollar signs sitting in the corner at all times.

I think Sakuno was the right choice to make!

Very nice gets! I like Sabers outfit, that looks so nice on her! But I really like this look:

 

 

She's extremely pretty, I love the all white look on her. Those eyes go well with her face and wig too.

You got some very lovely outfit for yours girl especially the one fore Melty is very cute, And Sakuno she is soo lovely and I love to see more of her!

Congrats on winning the bidding wars, and congrats on getting your Sakuno! She has such a sweet face! I think the Saber head can wait, I can't imagine how happy you are that didn't let Sakuno get away this time!
