does wood stain

just asking around, does wood. durniture wood without any special treatment(paint/wax/varnish) stain a dd?. want to get a nice chair for my girls to sit in for a long period. so i was wondering

Paint can stain from all kinds of surfaces. That's because the paint chips when under force. Especially old or badly sealed paint.

 

I think oiled wood can stain too, not sure though.

I believe some people here have had their dolls get stained from one of the Volks wooden chairs. But it was from the wood staining that was used on the wood to make it the darker color that actually stained the doll, not the wood itself.

 

Wood generally doesn't transfer color, so if the wood isn't treated with any kind of wood staining to make it darker or isn't coated with anything that could potentially come off, then it should be fine. SakuraSylph and I have an unstained wooden stool that we got from Dollmore and it doesn't stain dolls.
