Recent Dollfie Dream Factory Error!

Recommended Posts

DeadlyGambit

I am E-mailing everyone here to let people know that Volks has told me there was a factory error with recent Dollfie Dream 2 Base Bodies. As you all know, I got made my newest Dollfie Dream, Miyuki. But when her body came to me... it had an L bust on it! This was very odd, so I contacted Volks on Monday, and today I got an E-mail response of the following:

Dear Nicole,

Thank you very much for contacting us regarding this!

We are very sorry about this mistake. We can safely say that this

is not something which we have ever had happen before.

We have spoken with our headquarters regarding this and they let

us know that it seems there was a mistake at our factory.

We will be happy to switch it out for you. We have two options at

this point.

First, we can switch out the entire body for you.

Second, we can switch out only the bust plate.

It is up to you what you would like to do regarding this.

Please let us know and we will send you further instructions.

Sincerely,

VOLKS USA Web Service Center

So now I have a dilemma on my hands. Do I mail off Miyuki's body for a brand new one? Do I just mail off her bust? Do I keep her as she is? I also do not have the money to ship her back off to Volks, and they did not tell me how long the wait time would be for a new body. T_T Poor Miyuki. I do not know what to do!

Keep the L-Bust in case you want to change up Miyuki's look. I have an extra M-Bust I can give you as a Christmas present to Miyuki. Then she can have both options. There are lots of cute outfits that work specifically for L- and M-Busts. Shipping a whole body plus insurance would be kind of expensive unless they reimburse you for the shipping costs. It could also take a while before you get the new body and any reimbursed shipping costs.

That is so sweet of you, Mitsuki-san, I don't know what to say! (I literally don't know what to say or how to react to this. It's such a kind gesture!)

I have been sitting with Miyuki at her new perch, dressed in a hand made dress I bought from a doll meet (It's the same dress as her cousin Tsubaki wears... the daughter I helped make for Balldylox's sister). The more I look at her, the more I have trouble seeing her any other way. She's just my Miyuki. My Birthday and Christmas present this year, and the best gift I have received in a long time. I even went and bought her a full outfit to make her look more like a magical girl... and I think it will fit her with the L bust.

"Every doll has it's own destiny" ... this is something the Volks President says at almost every Dolpa. So, I think Miyuki's destiny was to have this L bust... and that she should keep it.

Ah Terri, ever so kind.....

That is an especially nice offer to send Nicole an M bust for Miyuki! I agree that having that option would be cool. But if Nicole thinks that the L bust is what Miyuki was destined for, I won't argue or press the point.

I think that statement by Volks was a very nic eone and it rings true for lots of things that have happened with me and my daughters. Either Fate or Destiny has helped me adopt all of my girls and the way things played out on all three of them were just a bit odd if you think about it. So the idea of it being "meant to be" sits well with me.

I'm glad Miyuki is comfortable with her body and that you seem to be as well Nicole. It's also nice to know the offer from Terri was made available to you both. Terri really has been a great friend to me and she always seems to just keep on giving, whether it's information, pieces parts, cookies, etc. I'm glad I met her and became friends.

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Miyuki is perfect the way she is. Now you need a second daughter with an M-bust...

Thank you both for saying such nice things. I am very happy to be friends with Billy too! I feel like Nicole is already a friend because she created Manami. She is part of the family.

Any more kind words and I think I will cry like an anime character! I feel so welcome, and like I have a big ol' Doll family, now!
