Mew Posted April 22, 2013 I know VOLKS sells eye putty, but is there anything else you use for putting them in?
waha Posted April 22, 2013 Sticky tack, preferably white without any added oils. Pritt and Faber Castell both produce good ones to use. Some people also use silicone earplugs.

TheWhiteRabbit Posted April 23, 2013 I use silicone earplugs as well. I have clear ones, but the come in white which I am sure are fine too. You can buy them at most local drug stores and they're pretty cheap! mosaicwolf Posted May 4, 2013 Speaking from experience with resin here, but I've found the 'eye putty' and 'sticky tack' stuff will eventually get dry and crumbly and gross. I have also personally seen where an unknown type of putty had actually eaten away at the plastic of acrylic eyes. I don't use anything but the silicone earplugs for those reasons. You can buy them at any drugstore, most anyplace that has a pharmacy section. One earplug will do a pair of eyes and the case is great for sticking reusable silicone. How long have you (or anyone) left earplugs in for, though? When I was cleaning up a friend's doll, I pulled out a substance from around the eyes that looked like earplugs but was really sticky, and more like a waxy texture. I've been trying to figure out if they had been earplugs that degraded, or were something else entirely. And I've heard that you can't use silicone earplugs with silicone or "soft glass" eyes because silicone eventually bonds with silicone, or something? That said, I only use earplugs on acrylic eyes, since they are so much easier to use and obtain. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to change them eventually before they turn sticky. Shailara Posted May 7, 2013 I've had mine for a little over a year now and it did get a wee bit sticky, but I live in a really warm country, so that might be it? It was easily removed though, nevertheless. (\_/) ( ' .' ) ( uu)
Remina Posted June 16, 2013 Do agree with this. I put silicone earplugs on Alisa for a year and still no stickiness too. I've had mine in for a year, no stickiness so far! Blog : http://ursulacircus.blog.fc2.com/
