What games are you playing?

Currently playing Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Got to love retro stuff.

I dropped the doll photo challenge because I’m 100% animal crossing now. I can’t go outside in real life, so I go to my virtual heaven island instead ^^

I finished FFVII Remake.  I liked most of it, but the ending has me concerned.  There were some great updated classic scenes in the game, and I hope to see many more in the follow-ups.  

My BF and I finally got out copy of Persona 5 Royal! We’re through the first two palaces, but I’m kind of dreading the third... though I think it was worse than it should have been the first time because we missed a safe room. I just wish Futaba joined your party sooner. I miss having her as navigator.

Just finished KH3 and 2 again (in that order lol), now time to download FFVII remake and see how it compares to the original

Playing Animal Crossing New Horizons at the moment, but the Pokemon Sword expansion comes out in a few days, so I'll be switching to that mostly. I can't wait!

Curently playing through the Pokemon expansion but I also keep going back to Warframe and Diablo 3.

I've been in a retro sort of mood for a considerable amount of time now.  It seems a gravitate to games in a 16-bit visual style.

For at least the past month I have been absorbed with Kingdom: Two Crowns.  I boot it up and when I look at the clock many, many hours have passed without me feeling anything more than minutes have.

I'm looking forward to Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2.  As I'm typing this, I think it releases tomorrow.  That said, I haven't played much of the original Curse of the Moon game.  Maybe it's time to catch up?

Normally I focus on turn based games, but for a while now I've just been in the mood for action games (I think Langrisser burnt me out for a while) or at least games that are real-time like Kingdom.

I also hooked my SegaCD back up.  Played some Sagaia, Lords of Thunder, Android Assault, Time Gal, Road Avenger, and Cobra Command.

I very much enjoy that one too.  But after I swam through all that stuff to get to the hidden underground desert place, and then I was faced with the backtracking to get chests... I just stalled out.  I've been meaning to get back to it, and I was having fantastic fun with it while I was playing it, nothing but good memories, but I just burned out and haven't ever returned.

I did load it back up and do a little bit of wandering around, and yep it was still fun, but I just haven't wanted to sit down and dedicate myself to it.

I did get Curse of the Moon 2.  The partner and I played it a bit in co-op.  We were having a good time, but we just haven't got back to it. 

It may be that my video game enthusiasm of the past several months has been sated and now it's time to move to something else for a while.  I guess we'll see if I sit down with a game and just get sucked in anytime in the near future.

I'd like to get WH40K: Mechanicus, but I'll wait until that one goes on sale.

This game is Spike-Chunsoft gaslighting me expertly at the rate of about twice per hour, and the only thing missing from the "oh this is a SC game alright!" checklist is mention of Schrodinger Cat

.....also bonus points for the poor Switch desperately trying to load flashbacks during later-in-game chapters. The load times are ridiculous, which still works in the game's favor?!?! Because the pro-tag is basically losing it, so the lag... Makes. So. Much. Sense

Playing Dragon Age: Inquisition... again lol. I’m really trying to take in the lore and complete all of the companionship quests! 
Next I want to play FFVII! I’ve never played any FF games, I just think Tifa is cute

I'm about to go on another Might and Magic RPG run games 3-8 and possible play 10 for the first time.

 

finished Bloodstained and am hitting up DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 for like the third time now.

both BUILDERS games are within my top 5, despite my gaming history going all the way back to the SEGA GENESIS during my boyhood in the very-early-90's.

the BUILDERS titles are an enthralling blend of LEGEND OF ZELDA gameplay with refined MINECRAFT-esque creation mechanics that is simply irresistible to me,

bringing me back to them time and again. personal instant Classics...

 

 

Still addicted to Animal Crossing New Horizons ever since I got it few months back...lol.

My husband and I just started playing FFXIV and we're having a great time! The characters are so cute and I can't wait to start playing dress-up with my pink cat girl. 

I've been playing ff7 crisis core. I think im addicted to getting my heart broken into a million pieces T_T

Ahaha, that makes me want to buy the builders games immediately!  I have been a DQ fan ever since DQ/DW1.  It was my very first rpg of any kind, and also of course my first JRPG.  It’s one of the games that changed my life (the first of them actually) and I wrote an essay on it several years ago.  I’ve had the builders games on my list since they launched, but I always have an incredible backlog.

I just bought the physical release of Moero Crystal H and also picked up Moe Chronicle at the same time from play Asia.  I’ve been playing a lot of otoge recently and will probably play some Heart no Kuni no Alice when I finally get home some time later today.  It’s favorite.  Still so stoked that Otomate is reviving quinrose.  Quinrose games are Quinrose games, and there is nothing else like them.

I LOVE DQB! Both of them! Have you tried Portal Knights? It lacks the charm but it's the same idea of exploring different worlds and building in a Minecraft-ian way. So much fun! That kind of game hooks me HARD and it's all I can do for weeks.

I'm currently playing Ys VIII after putting it off for a really long time. Definitely like it a lot! It's not at all what I was expecting, but it's a lot of fun. Sometimes it's nice to switch to ARPGs.

Not sure what I'll play afterwards, though. I tried Okami before Ys after wanting to play it since it first came out on DS. After all that waiting and build up...I didn't like it! 😧 I really wanted to, too...
Trying to decide between Tales of Xillia 1 & 2, FFV, or trying to beat Grandia for about the 4th time. Or even BoFIV.

@Tasuke Do you need to have played previous DQ games to play XI? I've put it off because I was worried about it haha

Not Really. in fact, it's actually much better in a lot of ways if one comes in fresh to the franchise.

indeed, there are a LOT OF RECYCLED ELEMENTS UTILIZED throughout the DQ franchise, quite literally, you name it, and it most likely has been cribbed and re-appropriated for the series entry in question from at least one, and, more often, from several, of the previous entries in the franchise.

what this can mean, is, arguable positives, such as an instant familiarity with elements such as the soundtrack and such, however... far more often perceived, -at least to spoiled, cantankerously jaded players such as myself- is this omnipresent, ever-palpable sense of sheer and total shameless long-term laziness on ENIX's part.

 

even so, DQ 11 is a FANTASTIC place to start on the series, right up there alongside the BUILDERS entries, and fine gaming experiences indeed, especially in isolation from the balance of the franchise, where the great deal they have to offer may be more freshly experienced and appreciated...

I play Monster Hunter World (Iceborne), FFXIV, and Genshin Impact.

 

Helping people level through story in FFXIV since they're completely new. I've enjoyed Iceborne but now it's kind of a lull, just killing Zinogre for the fuel needed to do the minigame Steamworks/Vaporium. 

 

 

I'm very much obsessed with League of Legends and lately Animal Crossing New Horizon!!

Genshin Impact... a lot of Genshin Impact 😆
