New newbie here~

My name is Minna, and I'm from Finland. That is quite important fact, please bear with me with my English, I'm not native speaker. ^^'

 

I found this forum by lurking someones Twitter! 8D

And why did I come here?

I have been into BJD's for 5 years or so, and I found out about DD's quite fast after getting to know BJD's. I always adored them and kinda wanted one, but I always thought like "No Minna, you don't want one, they are expensive and hard to get" and yada yada...

For some reason I have tried to convince myself that BJD's are enough for me, and I don't need a DD. By that time there was not too many DD owners in Finland, but lately I have noticed the amount of them growing in here, and that has gotten me to think about getting one again! 8D I have secretly been adoring DDH-06 and 04 heads. If I'd get 04 that would be Mini size, 06 I would make SD.

(Maybe someday, I could have them both?)

 

Besides dolls, I'm huge fan of Morning Musume (Riho is my kamioshi~) and everything Pokémon. (○’ω’○)

I also like manga and anime, occasionally do cosplay, and I love reading books when I have time. I work as an hotel receptionist to keep up my dolly hobby. My dream is to go to Japan someday, but I'm not good at saving money. Everything I get I always end up spending to dolly stuff or idol goods...

And as you can see I suck at introductions but I'm good at meaningless mumbling! 8D

 

I hope I can find much new information about DD's from here. And specially pictures~

Hello and welcome to the forum. We hope you get your girl soon. The 06 is a cute sculpt and most of the customs turn out really adorable so I hope you can get your hands on one ( I think there is one being sold at the marketplace here but I don't know if you can access it yet and its just a head so you would still need a body ). Feel free to browse around and ask questions, people here are quite friendly and the older members are quite good at responding to queries if there is any answer you can't find by searching the old posts. And also there a lots of lovely photos to look at to help, ehem, encourage you in your DD quest.

I already managed to find some information from here, like wig size and size of eyes that 06 head would need. I think my first goal now is the 06 mold, after seeing so many great pictures here. （￣ー￣）

That's true that I can't access the marketplace yet, but mostly I came here for the community anyway.

I don't want to spam around to get that 20 posts... xD I'll be stalking eBay and YAJ for now. o3o
