Mondaiji - Shiroyasha

So I'm going in deep with this one. I'm going to take a crack at creating one of my favorite characters from the show "Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?" Shiroyasha

For her head I went with the DDH-01 head. I shaved off the mouth and have started shaping the eyes. Shiroyasha's eyes being more angular I've taken time to try to recreate it.

What do you guys think of what I've done so far with the head? I feel like something is off with the eyes but it's hardly noticeable.

 

Here are what I chose for her eyes:

I am extremely pleased with their look since they give a very demon like look despite being called cat eyes. Twin snow has them in 22mm and 24mm. I'm not too sure which size to choose from.

 

Her ears are very elf-like so with that in mind I decided to get a pair of Gretel pixie ears. I'll use my trusty dremel to blend it as close as possible to her head.

For her wig, I'm at a lose. Her hair is very much white but seems to have a slight blue hue to it.

 

Leekeworld has two wigs that seem to fit the bill. Tell me what you guys think:

I think maybe they are a bit too blue but aside from that there doesn't seem to be a lot of white wigs available that seem to fit the bill.

 

In any event I thank all of you for inspiring me to actually do something about my ideas and look forward to your input!

What about this wig from Crobidoll? The style is a little different but the color seems closer.

Interesting project. I don't know that character but she sure looks cute.

I'm going to be a little honest here, I don't think the way you've modded her eyes will fit a pair of eyes. The eyeholes seem to big now.

 

Anyone with an 01 head want to weigh in here? I'm going off what I've seen, I don't actually own an 01.

I do feel the eyeholes are really sort of huge... you may have to start over.

At this rate, I think you'll either fit the entire eye through or have way too much white showing.

 

For the hair, I think something that's pure (cool) white or very light blue instead of a gradient would be best representation of the character.

Crap, I was afraid of that. I compared the eye sockets to Cirno's and had a feeling I kinda screwed the pooch on this one. Well, in the meantime I'll continue getting the rest of the pieces together. The eyes are arriving in about a week so the final verdict will be then. Thanks for the honesty gang!

Haha I appreciate it! Hopefully this will be the only snag I hit along the way. No one said putting together a dollfie would be easy. And in the end these mistakes will make this build memorable.

Thanks, the way I see it perseverance always makes up for what I lack in skill. I'll be updating every now and again with any progress.

I'm still searching for a wig that's suitable for the character. Jezrah's suggestion was pretty spot on as far as style and color goes. But Nekopon's suggestion on a solid cool color has some weight as well. One thing I failed to mention that the picture doesn't show is her hair. Her hair is short in the from but long in the back (think mullet style). Which is why I was thinking of getting a longer wig. I could always go with extensions but I wander how daunting that can be for a novice like me.

I saw on Dannycho's site synthetic hair wefts that looked like it could be added to the back of a wig. I can't remember which post it was in though. Maybe you could find a small clip in hair peace for humans, like the cheap one in hot topic. it'd be a cheap way to figure out how to work the black in till you found something better. I'd imagine it'd not be too hard to attach.

Looking at the 01 head you started with, I almost think you could fake that eye shape on an unmodded head with some thick lash lines. There's an 03 head on here who looks positively fierce, when I wouldn't say that about the sculpt normally. It's mostly because of the way her eyes are painted.
