February 2013 Collection at Volks US

Volks US seems to be trying to play the catch up game now that IDEX is over. Another event heading our way June 1st @ 11:00PST

 

I'm curious to see if this one sells a bit better than the DP28 items. Just might since it's the really cute pastry chef outfits and maid sets.

It might do better, or perhaps the same based on the quantity that the USA store gets. From an interest-level perspective, I got roughly the equivalent number of items requested from DP28 AE and the Feb 2012 collection. There were fewer items in the Feb collection, so that suggests that interest in any individual one might be slightly higher than for DP28's outfits.

I'll definitely be going to the store for this one! There just wasn't anything I had to have from the last collection, but this one is different I really want to get the Bordeaux Bartender Set for Seraphina because well she'd make a really sexy bartender If I can't get it though I would get the Cafe Mocha Maid Set since Seraphina still needs a maid outfit of her own~

I probably won't be able to gun for any of these since I'll be on vacation but I think I can also live without these.

 

I have the Pastry Chef set from the international event. It's super cute, but plan on reinforcing all those buttons. They pop off constantly because they were just barely tacked on by Volks.

Same with my Cafe Mocha long from the international event. One of the button snaps was loose and came off instantly! I resewed it but you can still see some skin in Saber's bust area when she wears it. Although I'm sure if Nelliel (my M bust girl) wears it, you wouldn't be able to see the gap. As my first clothes set from Volks it was a little disappointing though.

 

P.S. Your girl looks super cute. That set fits her very well.

I was very naughty, and I picked up the Pastry Chef set for my sweet Rika. Since my birthday's coming up, I'm going to beg someone for the Cafe Mocha maid set. Wish me luck. O_O

I went yesterday for the event and to my surprise there were only 2 other people waiting in line. I really thought this event would be a bit more popular than the last one. Unfortunately the outfit I wanted to get (The Bartender one) wasn't a good fit on Seraphina since the sleeves were much too long. But I did end up buying the standard Noir Maid Set that I've been wanting for a long time which looks great on her. Really do hope to see more people at the Osaka Event whenever they announce a date because the table was just full of clothes the rest of the day which isn't good for Volks USA

Oh wow, that is pretty disappointing. I really think these outfits are adorable, and I wish I could afford them all! Although, if they keep not selling, maybe I can convince my family to buy more for me.

They also announced that they will change their exchange rate higher within this year because a lot of people aren't buying from them now. I didn't know they were doing that badly since a lot of people do enter the lotteries for their dollfies. Guess clothes makes more of an impact on their store than I thought. :\

That would be really cool... I guess so too. But anyway keep in mind that they have limited marked (America only), and with their prices peolpe has stopped buying clothes and tools, and they can't live of dolls only (I think Volks doesn't send them *that* many, and because of copyright licenses a lot of dolls aren't sold on their platform either...

Waah! Don't die Volks US store! I need you! T^T I did notice they seem to have a lot of limited outfits in stock before I checked out. What does it mean for prices if they increase the exchange rate? Will it make things more expensive?

For what it's worth, I got fewer requests for the February Collection here on the JP side also. The Cushion Set was my most-requested item, and it sold out. I think you can still get some of the clothes here too.

 

So, even though the Feb '13 clothes are cute, not that many people bought them period.

 

I think they were saving their money for the doozies of HTDP Osaka 7 in March and DP29 in April... (those collections were HUGE and good.)
