Hi from Keripo

Hey all,

 

Noticed this section here and figured I might as well use this to up my post count. Trying to hit that 20 mark so I can post pictures and links for commissions - and so I can throw onion smileys in my posts ;3

 

Roughly put, I can be summarized with the following keywords: programmer, engineer, electronics, anime, trance, martial arts, rhythm games, MMORPGs.

 

I love tinkering with devices, write code for a living, and develop rhythm games during my free time ("Beats, Advanced Rhythm Game" in the Google Play store for Android). I watch tons of anime ("keripo" on MyAnimeList), casually cosplay ("Keripo" on CureCos), and collect anime figures ("Keripo" on MyFigureCollection). When interesting ones come out, I also waste plenty of time on MMOs ("TehKeripo" on YouTube). Away from the computer, if I've run out of figures to unbox/photograph, I spend most of my time on martial arts - I practice Chinese SanDa and recently some hybrid style of Kempo.

 

Normally, I focus on collecting PVC figures and building gunpla. I'm a huge TYPE-MOON fan (or more specifically, Tsukihime/MELTY BLOOD fan, cause Arcueid > Saber), which you'll notice via my MyFigureCollection collection, as well as a Gundam fanboy (Gundam Wing > all). I wasn't really all that interested in Dollfie Dream or dolls in general (I don't even collect figma for the most part) until recently when, looking through some favourited pictures on MFC, I came across a custom Arcueid DD.

 

Since I'll be going to Japan next week, I got interested, started researching some, and eventually ended up here. See my first post, the "Hoping to get a custom Dollfie Dream in Japan (first timer)" thread in "Dollfie Dream Newbies - Questions & Answers" forum section. I've learned quite a lot since coming here a few days ago, but I'll need to learn plenty more before I'll be ready!

 

I also noticed there's quite a number of members here from Washington (I just moved in the past summer). Walked in half asleep on the last day of Aki-con, and I missed Sakura-con this year (was too busy being in a state of trance at ASOT 600 NYC that weekend). My SAO Kirito cosplay is gathering dust in the closet, so need to find a local convention to wear it at while meeting new people.

I'm also a crossover from MFC (FgrClctn), and a lot of other folks here came from there. I think the DDH-07 head would be a good starting place to build your custom DD Arcueid. Good luck with your project!
