Stained Standard Head Worth?

I was just wondering how much you guys think a stained head that is available from Volks as a basic is worth? I've seen some stained Dollfie Dream heads for sale and was thinking of buying one to practice faceups on, but really have no idea on what a fair price for one is. Any help is much appreciated

Not sure what you meant by "basic" (standard model? pre-panited head?) because most of the stained heads for sale are the limited ones. I don't think there is a market for stained non-limited heads (of course there is still one pops up sometimes) because unlike body, heads are normally stained in the areas where can be covered by wig thus the value won't decrease much. I've never seen any stained Volks head went down less than 80% of the market price. If you are going to wipe the face up anyway, why don't you go for non-painted head because all standard or pre-painted head molds (except 05 head) are available at Volks for 4k yen. This price tag should be less than 50% of any of the heads out there no matter how heavily it is stained

I was confused because they're the option heads regularly for sale on volks websites and wasn't sure what one would reasonably pay for something you can buy brand new for around $50.

Oh so that was the case. It's pretty uncommon to my knowledge tbh lol. It's quite rare for people putting up something like that for sale. They would have easily gain few extra dollars by treating the stains beforehand, especially when it is a blank head. It is really up to how you deal with the person selling but for me $30-$40 would do depends on how heavily it is stained
