hironohiro Posted May 28, 2013 Recently at the Fanime con meetup, I became interested in the enhanced articulation the DDIII girls had. So I began to wonder if I could convert my girl's DDdy base body to have the articulation of the III line, we weren't really sure if it's possible. So first off, can I start with just my DDdy base body or would I have to get a new DDIII body to be compatible with the DDdyIII conversion parts? If so, what parts are necessary for the added movement and what parts could stay the same, since getting all the parts seems like...well I could just get a new body(unless it is actually building a full body, I'm not really sure here). Alternatively if the price is a tad high, is it possible to find the joints + little bit of modding to the stock parts. Thanks!
Jezrah Posted May 28, 2013 I've tried sticking DDIII arms on my regular DDDy, and it does work. But I think that's as far as you can get without just building a whole new body. For instance, if you wanted the stronger knees only, then maybe you could put new version legs on. But if you wanted stronger hips, and the ability to sit up straighter, then you'd need the new lower torso. At that point, you've already got arms, legs, lower torso, you might as well just get the newer upper frame and bust since a new bust would make the shoulder join look nicer. I can't say though whether you could still put the old upper frame and bust onto the newer if you wanted to save some money, since I don't yet own a DDDyIII, just a DDIII and a DDDy. jadepixel Posted May 29, 2013 The DD3 arms are a really easy upgrade, I've done that for my DDy body. I'm not sure about the legs, but I do most posing with the arms anyway. It really depends on your style jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop
