Coffee Posted June 2, 2013 So terribly sorry if this is explained somewhere already. The thing I've feared would happen, sooner or later, has happened. One of my girls, Mina my Millhi girl has gotten quite a big stain on her nose. I've tried going over it with an eraser, but that didn't help at all. The fortunate thing is, the stain is not touching her faceup, nor is it that close to the painted parts. So here's my question, is it possible to remove stains on a face without damaging the original faceup, even when the stain isn't near the painted parts? And is there some way for me to do this as simple and fast as possible? I would include a photo of the damage, but my sis managed to snap some part of my camera memory card, so it's currently in constant read mode... Thank you. Bellatrix Posted June 2, 2013 If the face-up is the default one (not customized - sealed with MSC or other sealants), then you should e able to clean it if you are very carful Use a thootpick or the edge of a stick to put the cleanin cream on the part you need to clean, and let it working until it's clean again For the list of the creams you could use, there is a thread with the explanation of them all (or most of them) but I can't locate it since I'm from phone >_< ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
Coffee Posted June 3, 2013 Does anyone think Magic Sponge/Magic Eraser will work if I'm careful? Mina - DDS Millhi, Lucy - DDS Melty, Sammy - DDII Sakuno, Ellie - MDD DDH-01, Niki - MDD Mayu, Sasha - DDIII Miku
Bellatrix Posted June 3, 2013 Does anyone think Magic Sponge/Magic Eraser will work if I'm careful? Depends on the stain. Is works for dust, and superficial stains like painting. If the stain is "interior" of the vinyl it's useless. ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩

shinegamix Posted June 3, 2013 aw too late. was actualy intrested if it would work if you applied the stuff from inside the head instead of outside making my triumphant return
Coffee Posted June 3, 2013 aw too late. was actualy intrested if it would work if you applied the stuff from inside the head instead of outside I haven't applied anything yet. I'll probably buy some Basiron and try that method. And I don't think the stain is all the way through, I actually think it's kind of just on the surface. shinegamix Posted June 3, 2013 i see. was actually intrested in seeing if it would go all the way through to the surface. if applied on the inside. so it wont have a chance to mess up the face up making my triumphant return
SakuraSylph Posted June 8, 2013 Yes, you can use heatlamp-Oxy on a DD head with a default faceup, to include the nose area. I have removed stains from a secondhand head that were all over her original eyebrows. With enough careful work, by the time all was said and done the head looked just like new again. Coffee Posted June 10, 2013 I've been using 5% Basiron, applied on the stain, covered the rest of the head in paper towels and then placed the head in direct sunlight for a couple of hours. It has really worked. The stain is getting less and less visible, and has gone from being dark brown-ish to orange. I've got two really crappy pictures of the before and after. Before. You can see that the stain is kind of dark. After. The stain has become a much lighter color, and it not as visible anymore.
