Wow, you got in before me then. The DD Miko was sold out by the time I got in but the shoes were still up.

Also, I usually check back in the morning (which Jst would be about 8-9pm). I've never clicked warred before and still gotten outfits I liked simply by waiting for people's carts to expire. We know that people will purposely hold stuff in a cart (heck I was planning to until I hear back from SNS). Eventually, they have to let go and you might get lucky.

 

I got my Strawberry Milk Cookie Set without clicking war when VOLKS suddenly release abundance of it for some time...

Yup, and I got it by checking in at 8am CST on a whim. Worst part was, it stayed there for several hours after I bought mine too. Just weird.

 

Just to point this out, carts expire in 10 hours or 30 min of inactivity. So, ideally, check back every 30 min and then wait until 10 hours have passed.

I guess my internet and computer is not special enough to access it like everyone else. Even after clearing everthing and re-freshing like mad I still can't get on the site.

 

Maybe I can catch a re-stock, just right now I am done and over it.

Gosh that's so weird. I'm west of Cleveland and had zero problems getting in multiple times on wireless. Who's your provider?

I am in the same plight as well... Something always screwed up during such event...

It's through a cable provider, Armstrong. This is the first time I've gotten shut out of a Volks event. I usually have a good success rate with them.

If you want a particular dress badly enough, you can always go to YAJ to get from the $$$ sucking re-sellers... Hate it when those who truly want to keep can't get it but those re-sellers ended up getting...

I think I got the 3 monochrome lolita sets...? I went through payment and it was accepted but there was no order update on my account or email and the 3 sets are still in my basket..

I wasn't after anything this time around but since people are saying they can't get on the Volks Int site, I decided to try too and I also can't get on there. I keep getting the "site is down, try later" page. I'm on Bellsouth DSL and have the fastest connection speed they offer and no amount of cache cleaning or refreshing lets me on the site. I'm wondering if Volks has somehow started blocking non Japanese computers or something....

I think problem was many people were refreshing the trouble loading page rather than the page for the event. It got automatically redirected to that trouble loading page during the server crash

Japanese will always cater their home market first before even considering the international market... So blocking of external access might be a possibility... Why bother about international market when they can't even fulfill their local market?

That's crazy, the website crashed and had to be rebooted. Everything was in stock when I opened the store page but I was probably very lucky to be one of the first. I live in Ireland. Everything just sold out in seconds and if you didn't have the direct link to the store page were just going to be too late.

I really don't think that's the case =/ The website is currently offline again

It seems like this wave of outfits was far more popular than expected.

 

As well, some of the US customers were able to get in, so they're clearly not blanket blocking IPs.

 

I'm trying to figure out how they'd fix these traffic issues, the nature of their collections and lottery system means they have low traffic nearly every day, but incredibly high traffic whenever they have new releases or after events.

Seconds after I tweeted at @volks_doll they posted this:

Ah, ok, so they're redirecting based on region to a translated error page, that makes more sense. Their website design is really inefficient, so it was only a matter of time before the masses took it down :/

Site's finally working... and all of the actual outfits are sold out aside from the Matryoshka and wrap skirt sets.

 

Damn it all, I'm going to drown my sorrows in yafuoku.
