baldylox Posted June 8, 2013 Chizuru is learning her new home better and has been hanging out with Yoko and Saber a lot. Today they're out in the garage. C - "Not many of the girls come out here do they? Why is that?" Y - "Papa doesn't allow us out here unless we get his permission first. I asked him if Saber and I could come out to take a break and he didn't have any issues with it. Plus, if I wanted someone else along, he's cool with it." DSC_1212 by balldylox, on Flickr "It's kinda nice to come out here and relax a bit. It's quiet out here and we enjoy that sometimes." DSC_1213 by balldylox, on Flickr S - "Mmmm... snuggle time with Master is nice..." Y - "Yes it is Saber, yes it is." DSC_1214 by balldylox, on Flickr "That's pretty cool. Quiet time is pretty good to have to relax and unwind a bit. But there's not too much out here to do if you're not into quiet time." DSC_1216 by balldylox, on Flickr Y - "Well, Papa comes out here sometimes to let off steam. He uses that big punching bag over there and also the big stereo." S - "Master, snuggle time...." DSC_1217 by balldylox, on Flickr "Ohhh, you mean THIS?" DSC_1220 by balldylox, on Flickr Y - "Yep! That thing gets pretty loud. I've never been out here when Papa uses it but we can easily hear it inside the house." S - "THAT is the noise maker?" DSC_1221 by balldylox, on Flickr "Wow, this is seriously impressive. I haven't seen Cerwin Vega VS150's since the early 2000's! These are some great speakers." DSC_1222 by balldylox, on Flickr S - "I have no idea what you just said but that sounds interesting. Greatness begets greatness you know." DSC_1224 by balldylox, on Flickr C - "Let's see what these puppies can do! Let me scoot you over a bit so I can setup a ladder..." Y - "Wait a second!" DSC_1225 by balldylox, on Flickr "I have heard this noise out here before but never up close. Mayhaps I can use this to my advantage against foes." DSC_1226 by balldylox, on Flickr "Ahh here we go. Let's power up and see how this sounds." DSC_1227 by balldylox, on Flickr Y - "Be careful up there! And don't turn it up too much, Papa might get mad." S - "Hmm... I must see how this works..." DSC_1228 by balldylox, on Flickr "Don't worry, I'll keep it low for now, I just want to see how these sound." DSC_1229 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "Hey girls! What's up?" S - "Hi." DSC_1230 by balldylox, on Flickr Y - "Oh hi there!" S - "Hello fellows. We are about to hear Hell unleashed." DSC_1231 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "Ooooo! What are these things? They're way bigger than the ones in the living room!" S - "Looks like trouble if you ask me." C - "These are concert series speakers Reiko and nice ones at that." DSC_1232 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "Cool! Turn it up to 11!" C - "Haha! Here we go!" DSC_1233 by balldylox, on Flickr "Well.... it's on 11 but it's not very loud." DSC_1234 by balldylox, on Flickr "The music is fine but this setting of 11 is pretty lame." DSC_1235 by balldylox, on Flickr "Oh yeah! I like this song! I have to dance now!" DSC_1237 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "Dance with me Sprout!" S - "Nah, I'm no good at it." R - "Aww come on! I'll teach you! It's easy and fun!" DSC_1238 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "See? Just watch my feet and follow my lead, you can do it." S - "I dunno... I'm no good at this. I'll step on your feet..." Y - "Saber, all you know how to do is slow dancing? We have to change that." DSC_1239 by balldylox, on Flickr "Whoo hoo! Now it's party time! I'm glad I checked these out!" DSC_1240 by balldylox, on Flickr "A-HEM." DSC_1241 by balldylox, on Flickr A collective "Uh oh" arises from the girls.... Manami - "Okay, who turned on the stereo?" C - "Umm, that would be me." DSC_1242 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "And who said you could do that?" C - "Well.... um... I didn't really ask...." DSC_1243 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "Don't worry, I'm not mad. But I *will* have to punish you for this later....meet me at the couch at 11pm for your punishment." C - "Yes maam! Hee hee...." DSC_1244 by balldylox, on Flickr "Now, you girls call THIS a party? PLEASE! Let me show yall how it's done!" DSC_1245 by balldylox, on Flickr "It's time to pump up the jam!" DSC_1246 by balldylox, on Flickr R - "WHOO HOO! That rocks! WHOOP WHOOP!" S - "GAH! That's making my brain rattle! I'm outta here!" DSC_1247 by balldylox, on Flickr Y - "Ok Saber time to go! It's too loud for me." S - "WHAT? I cannot hear you! I've not heard such a din since Hannibals march of elephants to Carthage! Let us take our leave Master!" DSC_1248 by balldylox, on Flickr C - "Aww yeah! Rock on!" R - "So cool! I love it loud! High five!" DSC_1249 by balldylox, on Flickr "Heh, those two have no idea how to really rock. Crank it up!" DSC_1250 by balldylox, on Flickr "AHHHH! TOO LOUD! TURN IT DOWN AGAIN MANAMI!!!" Poofiemus Posted June 8, 2013 Haha! That was great. Got a kick out of the Spinal Tap reference (go Christopher Guest!), but Sprout's "my brains are rattling", Saber's reference to Hannibal's Alps adventures, and Chizuru's hair streaming out behind her all got actual laughs out of me. Also, damn those are big speakers. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
Mahoro Posted June 8, 2013 Hahahaha, leave it to Manami to crank the volume up past tolerable levels for everyone else xD What did the aftermath look like? A whole bunch of half-deaf girls wandering around inside the house? Now we need some of those shots of Manami's punishment for Chizuru...you know...for science Also SPROUT!!! I missed seeing you! We need more of your tsuntsun around~
Silverwing Posted June 8, 2013 "These go to 11 " Manami dropping the bass was too funny! She's a fun one that's for sure! Saber and Yoko cuddling was too cute! Chizuru's hair blowing around was hysterical! Great story! It was good to see Sprout again too!

Also, damn those are big speakers. Thank you very much! I'm glad you had some laughs, this story worked out well for setting those up. And yes, those ARE big... 15 inch woofers. And they go LOUD. Hahahaha, leave it to Manami to crank the volume up past tolerable levels for everyone else xD What did the aftermath look like? A whole bunch of half-deaf girls wandering around inside the house? Now we need some of those shots of Manami's punishment for Chizuru...you know...for science Also SPROUT!!! I missed seeing you! We need more of your tsuntsun around~ Yep! Manami is just like her Papa when it comes to music.... she likes it loud and bass heavy! Only Reiko and Chizuru had the wobblies for a bit after this, everyone else got out before the sound got to be too much. I was planning to sneak around and get pics of Manami and Chizuru doing their "punishment" but I feel asleep to early. Oh well, maybe next time..... And I'm glad Sprout made you happy, I do need to have her in more stories as it's been a while since she was. I'll try and get on that. "These go to 11 " Manami dropping the bass was too funny! Glad you like Manami and her volume tendencies. She's a real blast for sure, you can see why she's my number one. I thought Yoko and Saber were cute together too. When no one's around, Saber gets quite lovey-dovey with her Master, I find that funny since she tries to be the tough girl around everyone else. Getting the hair to move like that took a few tries but it worked out well for me. And I'm guessing people want to see more Sprout more than I thought, looks like I need to get her in more photos soon. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. I bet Sprout loves Justin Bieber in secret That was a neat idea So you punch on a punching bag to let off the steam , is there a picture of your boss on it Heh, I figured you for he dancing type. And no, Sprout can't stand Bieber! None of my girls can actually. Sprout likes old boy bands tho like In Sync and NKOTB. And yes, I *do* have a picture of my boss on the punching bag, it sure helps! I like how your girls are all dressed for summer , it seems that you are having a warmer spring than we do .I can't deny it , Sprout wanting to dance was totally adorable , she is so cute!!!! Oh yes, it's getting hot down here for sure. Already muggy and hot in the afternoons. I'm betting this summer will be another hot one for sure. Good thing the AC is running well. Thanks about Sprout! I'm glad you liked her in the story. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

baldylox Posted June 11, 2013 Okay, I have to ask: what song were they playing? Because right now I'm being a complete dweeb and picturing any number of things from Songs To Wear pants To. Ha ha! I was wondering when someone would ask what music was being played! They were blasting Macklemore's "Thrift Shop"..... well, they weren't REALLY playing that but if they were playing anything, that's the song. They all seem to love it for some reason, I guess it's catchy? In reality, there was no music being played. That system at volume 60 will literally make your eyes blur and your teeth rattle. I've only had it there twice now and there's no way I could have taken ANY photos with it up that loud. The input was turned off so no actual sound was playing. Your girls are always so cute, especially when they're up to some mischief. Saber is so damn adorable when snuggling with Yoko too. It's really a great little photo story~! Thank you very much! I think most girls are cute when they're being a little bad. I'm glad you liked the Yoko/Saber pics, those two are very cozy now even tho Saber doesn't show it too much around her sisters. baldylox Posted June 11, 2013 Ha ha this was amazing. I love Manami always so mischievous and I wish I could see the punishment she has prepared for Chizuru Great story as always Thank you sir! Manami is indeed mischievous and while I know she and Chizuru had their little punishment session, I have no idea what it entailed. I'm sure they both enjoyed it tho. Bouncing_Tigger Posted June 12, 2013 I don't know where you find the time to do these stories but they are wonderful! I think this area of the forum is going to become a big favourite of mine! Watching the girls interact with each other and the 'world' makes me think that it won't be long before I start planning to get a second girl so mine won't be lonely! Either that or my daughter is going to have to bring her two home more often so that the girls can all have 'play dates'!

Watching the girls interact with each other and the 'world' makes me think that it won't be long before I start planning to get a second girl so mine won't be lonely! Either that or my daughter is going to have to bring her two home more often so that the girls can all have 'play dates'! Thank you very much! Honestly, I have to MAKE time to do these types of things. Most often these stories can take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on how many girls I use and what kinds of backgrounds I have them interacting with. This story took a little over 2.5 hours to do because of the number of girls I used. And it also took me close to 20 minutes to figure out how to do the windblown look to Chizuru's hair. I wish more people did photo stories tho, most of the other people who did them in the past have cut way back and some don't do them at all anymore. I find them to be my best creative outlet so I do as many as I can. Most of the time I set aside weekends to do these, trying to do them during the week gets tedious and tiring. So now if I know what kind of story I'm going to do on the weekend, I'll dress the girls during the week and then on Friday night I'll get the area I want photographed put together so on Saturday or Sunday I can walk right up and place the girls and start snapping photos. And you'll want at least one more girl so your single one won't be bored while you're away! That's how I started and it's exploded since then. But having multiples is really fun, especially if you enjoy posing them and taking pics. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Bouncing_Tigger Posted June 13, 2013 I like the stories better than just the separate pictures, too -- sorry everyone who posts just pictures! They are nice and I like looking at them, but the stories rock! I have an idea for an 'arrival' photo story, but my girl still isn't here so I can't even start anything...though I have put together several of the props I will need!!! Shipping says that now at least she isn't stuck in Canada customs anymore so maybe, maybe, maybe she will get here before the end of the week. *fingers AND toes crossed* If she does, then I might try a short part of my story idea over the weekend to see how it goes. Of course, first I have to figure out how to take pictures and get them onto my computer but my hubby has volunteered to help! (He's kinda getting into this now too because he thinks the girls are 'interesting'. I caught him surfing some dollfie face up pictures last night in anticipation of our 'new arrival' -- and may I say, having our real babies took less time than this!!! LOL) Maybe he should get one and then we'll have two here, and three who can visit when my daughter brings them home! I'm going to mention the "lonely" thing to him! I'm sure he wouldn't want our girl to be lonely!! hahaha

I do this and it helps me remember stuff as well as fine tune what I'd like to do. Setting up props and stuff is time consuming but well worth it for making things look as realistic as possible. I hope your girl arrives soon, I know I hate waiting for one to arrive! And getting pics onto the computer and online is very easy nowadays. I'd suggest Flickr for your pics since they offer a huge amount of space for free now and they're super easy to use. That's great about your husband being interested in the girls! It's always nice to have someone help you out and enjoy them with. Maybe he should get one and then we'll have two here, and three who can visit when my daughter brings them home! SisterKyoya Posted August 26, 2013 How in the world did I miss this story?? Oh my gosh, this was too funny! And I love the blowing hair. It made me laugh pretty hard. I wish more people did photo stories tho, most of the other people who did them in the past have cut way back and some don't do them at all anymore. I have been desperately trying to get back to it. I have missed it like crazy! The last couple of days I've remembered how much I miss writing them too. These two simple things are the #1 reason I've been able to connect so firmly with my DD. Their personalities come out so strongly when I do and I also have the photos to go back and look at the different stages of our family as well. Part of my problem now though is it has been ages since I've done any and I feel like anything I do isn't perfect enough. Having to take pictures at night and feeling like the light isn't as good as daylight is a huge frustration. Some of the stories have been in my head too long and I've thought too much about all the different ways that I could do them that I just can't make up my mind. This is the exact reason why Dakota still doesn't have an intro story despite the fact that her birthday is Feb 28! Bouncing_Tigger: Really for the stories the best way to go about it is to have lots of fun and just go with it. The very first photo story that I did turned out completely differently than I had planned because Tamayuki's best friend Dolly turned into a complete ham once I sat down to write it after the pictures were done. It still cracks me up. Sometimes if I have a more complicated story I'll put down a good general outline before doing photos so I don't get stumped, but generally I just go with it and see what happens. I really wish there was a way to get more of the newer DD people to not be so afraid to post stories because they may not be perfect. I have one I hope to get done soon that was (purposely) taken with my husband's cell phone camera. Despite what I even tell myself, it's a whole lot more fun to just do it and enjoy the process and have something to share with the community rather than making something painstakingly perfect. This is such a great community because of all the sillyness and entertaining stories we can share about our families. There has been a major story I've been thinking about doing because it is an important issue in our family at the moment, but I struggle with having people assume I'm doing it to shove the issue in people's face. That's not it at all, it just happens to be something that affects our family in the long run. Having our whole family be vegetarian/vegan is a rather hotly contested issue around here even though Raven and I have been vegetarian for many years. I didn't really think it was much of an issue until a couple of things happened and Tama started to get very upset at his sisters and Dolly because they weren't vegetarians. This just happens to be the current events in our family but I still have the fear that I'm going to get flamed that it was a contrived way of being 'inappropriately preachy.' I really love reading all the different photo stories because I can see all the differences in families. So much of the time they are filled with a lot of sillyness, but I'd love to read even the more serious sides of the families too if they have them. I'm just a glutton for stories as long as they aren't violent. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

Heh, I don't know how you missed it either but I'm glad you found it. I'm glad you liked it too, tis one was quite fun to make, especially the blowing hair. And I agree with you about the photo stories being an excellent way to connect with your girls. It really does let their personality show thru and I have a good time doing them. Some stories are harder to do than others so it feels more like work when I'm doing them but after I have the pics and story posted, it's always worth it to me. Ravendruid Posted August 26, 2013 Somehow this slipped under my radar as well. I'm glad it got bumped, this is one of the best of your stories I've seen. Chizuru's hair! That was great. trying to figure that out would have taken me forever, if I could have gotten it at all. I loved watching Sprout getting talked into dancing. That was too adorable and so very her. I thought it was funny that she took the first excuse she could to get out of there, though. I also loved that outfit! So simple, yet also very Sproutlike (although at our house SK would not have let it pass without a bra underneath). Manami makes me smile almost ever time I see her, no matter what kind of mood I'm in. I love how she has so much more of a noise tolerance than everybody else, at least at the moment. I can't imagine how it would go if they were playing the music while she was hung-over. Daddy of: Yuriko, Sohi, Miku and SK's many kids
baldylox Posted August 26, 2013 Somehow this slipped under my radar as well. I'm glad it got bumped, this is one of the best of your stories I've seen. Wow, thanks for the high praise! I'm flattered you thought so much of it! Chizuru's hair! That was great. trying to figure that out would have taken me forever, if I could have gotten it at all. Ha ha, I'm happy so many people liked seeing her hair do that. It took me a while to figure out how to get it to do that since my speakers won't actually put out that much volume and move that much air. But being in the car audio industry in it's heyday, I've seen vehicles make girls hair do that for real and it was always so cool to see. That's what I wanted to replicate here. Sprout is like that tho, you're right. She want to do something but won't do it on her own unless prodded by someone she likes. So it only made sense for Reiko to get her going a little. As for her outfit, Sprout pretty much only wears white unless she can get her hands on VERY light pastels like pink or red. Otherwise it's white all the way. She actually does have her own Volks bra in white but for some reason she wasn't wearing it under that dress. Not sure if that has any meaning to it or not. Manami makes me smile almost ever time I see her, no matter what kind of mood I'm in. I love how she has so much more of a noise tolerance than everybody else, at least at the moment. I can't imagine how it would go if they were playing the music while she was hung-over. I'm always glad to hear when Manami makes someone smile. She's just so good at it! I think her noise tolerance comes from me since I was in the audio industry for half my life. She's not the snob I am tho and enjoys way more styles of tunes than I do. Anything that grooves is good to her. But I know for a fact that music at high volumes isn't good when she's hung over.... she'll whine and moan to have it turned down for sure.
