Volks JP at Magical Mirai 2013 Hatsune Miku Event

Volks JP will be at "Magical Mirai 2013", Miku Hatsune event in Yokohama on August 30th. This will be interesting!

Could they possibly be putting out a DD Hatsune Miku at the event? I thought I would post about the event on the off chance that a DD Hatsune Miku is announced. Anyone who can read Japanese should definitely let us know what it says on the site as it updates~

A DD Miku would be amazing! I only hope it would be a preorder thing and not a lottery because fans all over the world would probably make the odds of winning crazy low.

 

But maybe a Miku scale would be more likely, or even a Miku outfit...

On August 30th we will know that :3 I think that a DD Miku is possible... people is getting tired of her, so it would be a good chance to increase the possibilities of launching new merch lines.

Where is the event? because that date im in Osaka-Kyoto ^_^

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited!!! If there's really going to be a DD Miku, I'm SO getting her the moment she pops up! :D And if it's going to be a lottery, it'll be my first time doing one!

Oh hey nice. Now I have a Miku concert & culture fair to go to. Will do this regardless of what Volks' participation turns out to be.

 

Volks makes figures and models so it won't necessarily end up being a doll.. But it could be.

Hope its not a DD. Just leaving that here. But I'm sure volks will piss me off and do it anyway.

Looking at the Vocaloid Wiki, it looks like we may be a wee bit overdue for solid news on Miku's English version, so I'm guessing if we're going to hear anything on it, it'll be at this Magical Mirai event.

 

That being said, I've actually suspected for quite a while that Volks has been holding off on DD Miku until the English version of her is close to release. Miku's "visibility" has dropped a bit in the past couple years, and the English version will likely catapult her back into high interest again; that makes timing a DD Miku release to be concurrent with the new software version a very smart and timely thing to do--not unlike timing Saber Alter's rerelease and Saber Extra's release with the TypeMoon anniversary.

Yeah, I'm hoping that Append will turn out to be an outfit, too. The alternative--a separate Append Miku DD, potentially with her own head mold--is just a little too wallet-killing to contemplate.

I don't know if it implies anything or not, but.. Today at the June event Volks had a poster located outside the store advertising their participation in the Magical Mirai event. Interestingly, they also had a smaller version of this poster next to the checkout register in the doll section. (but not the other register in the hobby section).

 

Maybe meaningful, maybe coincidence.

 

(The poster didn't say anything extra on it beyond the fact-of participation, which we already know.)

If we're speculating a Miku, can we assume we're going to get Rin and Luka too at some point? If they released Luka I would buy her the moment she came up. I really wouldn't care about the price too much either.

 

If it is a Miku, I'm sure they'll follow the Idolm@ster route and release a few outfits too. So many possibilities.

I mentioned earlier that I kind of suspect that if they're doing it now, it's to coincide more closely with the release of the English Miku version--maybe it's just me, but between the comments about the events including stuff about the "future of Miku" and how long that voice bank has been in development, I'm thinking it's likely we'll be hearing about that at this event, probably a demo and maybe a more solid release date. Kind of makes sense to release such a major piece of merchandise to "celebrate" such a major software release.

If I recall correct Project Diva F is to be released in August in english PSN services too, wich was a result for a facebook like campaign. so atleast some popularity stuff has been noted concerning the franchise.

 

So that would be another tide to ride along considering the date.

 

as for a DDS (what id use for a body) Miku .. hmm, Waiting ages to release something isnt a new practice for Volks, they did it with Beatrice, by First putting out Maria, and waiting a full year to come up with Beat.

 

Can only hope they dont decide to put out a Luka too if their at it.. heh.

The Magical Mirai website confirms that Volks is going to be one of the people at the vendor room event. Other than that, there's no further information from Volks that I've seen.
