Volks JP at Magical Mirai 2013 Hatsune Miku Event

It would likely be exclusive to the event if not one of a kind though.

I have successfully secured the tickets I wanted to this day-event and night concert.

 

We still don't know what role Volks will play in it yet, but we'll find out one way or another now. I am expecting maybe a new Magical Mirai-edition Goodsmile Racing Miku itasha model kit, but am hoping for doll clothes even though it feels like a longer-shot. (although, truly, it almost doesn't matter what Volks ends up bringing, 'cause 3D-Holo-Miku ).

 

We do know now that Sega will be premiering Project Diva F 2nd on playable Vitas at the event. A month before TGS even...

 

Interestingly, the general sale for this event was at 10am this morning, and it actually took down both E-Plus' and Lawson-Ticket's websites - something I've never seen before. Those are two of the Ticketmaster-like services in Japan. The only service that carried this event and remained standing was Ticket Pia, but they were selling the 500yen "admission without concert" only so nobody cared. I expect DoS website hangs/errors to happen for Volks International clickwars by now, but to two major ticket services at the same time? Wow.

I have to say that I'm rather divided over if I hope there is a Miku DD or not.

 

On the one hand, I have a passionate dislike for her mostly stemming from the fact that most people don't actually tune the Vocaloid before using her so she is screechy and horrible, then go and flood YouTube with her videos. The first time I heard her was one of the concerts that Raven kept watching and her voice even in there was very painful to me. So its no surprise that even seeing her gets a very noted negative reaction.

 

However on the other hand, Raven really likes Miku a lot and if they had a DD of her I know he would want her. Since he so rarely buys anything for himself I surely couldn't deny him if he really wanted her. I know that it would cause a few waves in our DD household since Naiomi has a large negative passion for Miku, but Yuriko just loves her (for some insane reason...)

 

If we're speculating a Miku, can we assume we're going to get Rin and Luka too at some point? If they released Luka I would buy her the moment she came up.

 

I would fully support a Luca DD! Raven and I have talked about making one of her for him anyway, and I find her to be a really lovely character. The times when I liked some of the 'Miku' songs in the aforementioned Vocaloid concert, Raven pointed out that it was actually Luka. However if they did make a Luka DD, I'd have to make Big Al to go along with her. We already own Luka, Big Al, Kiyoteru, and Sonika Vocaloid voicebanks, so for us Al & Luka are an unofficial couple. If they even made a Rin I'd be tempted to get her head and make Len. Poor Tamayuki would pass out from blood loss after going into fanboy mode over him.

 

It will be interesting to see what the outcome is!

Admittedly i.m generally not a miku fan, but if and in someway shape or form therr would be a luka, I might be all over her as I love her design!

According to Volks, they will not be selling anything at all directly at Magical Mirai.

 

However, they will have many things on exhibition display, to include upcoming release announcements. Whether these products are at all DD-related is of course unsaid at this point since the news is supposed to come from the event.

Personally I expect that if they do a DD Miku they'll probably put her on a DDIII. That way they can hypothetically put Kagamine Rin on the DDS in the future, and have her just slightly shorter instead of the big gap between DDS and MDD.

I don't think they can win with the heights. Cuz yes, Rin should be a bit shorter than Miku, but Luka is often a bit taller... there aren't enough different heights to satisfy that.

I would love to see a Miku DD. Very curious to see what Volks will show us.

As popular as Miku is I'd be surprised if they didn't have something doll related for her at such an event. We'll have to wait and see what develops!

If they decide to make outfits I hope they make some of the Racing Queen ones. Especially the one from this year it's my favorite version.
