Volks JP at Magical Mirai 2013 Hatsune Miku Event

It's funny, when I got in the car this morning I accidentally put on an artist sort playlist, and inadvertently listened to nothing but Miku on the way to work. It's a Miku day!

 

Tomorrow cannot get here fast enough!!

Seriously, they have teasing down to an art form! A Miku-colored DD logo. . . Yup, definitely teasing us. Makes me think of how with the Touhou preorders they first just had a splash page, then silhouettes, then an event showing them, and finally promo pics and preorder details.

 

I both really hope and really dread that she'll be a full DD instead of a couple licensed outfits, lol. On the one hand, I've wanted a DD Miku since the day I got into DDs back in '09, but on the other hand I just committed myself to my Homura hybrid project, which is going to suck up monies. Sigh. Really hope that she's a preorder so I can have some breathing room between arrivals! (And some emotional security instead of the lottery roller coaster, lol.)

 

Personally I'm hoping for her to be a Misaki Serika sculpt. Something like a blend between Nanoha and Hoshii Miki would be perfect for how I've always pictured a Miku DD.

My wallet is doomed if this is the case.

I was going to try to get Yukiho in an auction/click war but now I'm not so sure. This announcement is too tantalising.

I hope she is a preorder as well. That way we can get 2 dolls to pick from and one could be Luka (prob not but hey, I can dream lol). I'd want Miku but I love Luka more and having a Miku DD gives me hope for her so I guess I'll pass on Miku, depends on how she looks though.

Hoping it'll be a pre-order if there is a miku DD!

I was just thinking, we've had a pre-order every fall for the last few years, hmmm, wonder if we will have another pre-order this fall?

September 2011: Sabers

October 2012: Xenosaga

Sept/Oct 2013: ?????

 

Plus the pre-orders have been two dolls -- Marisa & Remu, Saber Extra & Saber Alter 2nd, Kosmos & Momo (even White Album, which wasn't a fall pre-order, was Yuki & Rina).

Don't forget the Gurren Lagan preorder, Yoko and Nia--another pair.

 

Miku and Luka together would be really cool, but given this is a Miku event, I'm going to put in my bet for it being Miku Original and Miku Append. (If they do this route, I do wonder if they'd do just a different faceup, or a whole new head a-la Saber versus Saber Lily.)

Good point. I'd hope they'd do a new head mold for Append Miku. She has sharp features so something mature along the lines of 07 would be nice. Then people who like mature looking dolls would have another head to chase after. It'd be cool if they did Miku and Chibi Miku too (although Chibi Miku isn't really official) but it'd be nice to see a new MDD.

Haha, I don't think so. Haku is awesome! It would be nice to see her, Neru and Teto at a random Vocaloid event in the future. But we'd have to get through all the other girls first. lol

I could get behind any ver. that isn't basic Miku, but even then I'd rather have a Luka, or Haku, or IA or anything...I just am so tired of Miku. She's got a figure army that can compete with Saber (though maybe the nendo count alone beats her), we don't need a DD army of her as well. >.>;;

If there's ever a DD IA, I'd be in trouble...
