Volks JP at Magical Mirai 2013 Hatsune Miku Event

Man, I wish they'd sell all hands with the wrist joints. I for one would be willing to pay that much extra for the added convenience.

Oh dang, I already bought some hands to paint the nails. Oh well, I'll probably just get a set of normal SWS hands since I already have the supplies. I don't really want the body suit though. She already comes with tape, so that and a normal sleeveless bodysuit is enough for me. I'm definitely going to get Mikuzukin and Do Re Mi Fa Rondo. I'm a sucker for tiny hats and that style of coat.

It's slightly different but very close in design to the point I would say it was based off it. ^^

 

Oh wow, I'm not a very good Miku fan, I didn't even notice the similarity! I picked up this outfit because I thought it was super-cute, but now I'll have to put it on Miku when she arrives!

I'm really happy to see that hands with painted fingernails will be sold for Miku. I was planning on buying a bunch of hands for her and trying to paint the fingernails myself. I'd rather buy the painted ones instead of trying to match the colour.

 

I need to see some better photos of the Do Re Mi Fa Rondo outfit. I have been looking forward to it, but I'm not too sure now if I want to get it. Mikuzukin outfit is a must-buy for me.

I'd just been wishing they'd do a DD outfit version of that red riding hood-esque set! Hopefully it comes out when I have income again. . .

 

Speaking of which, I really really wish they'd had the hands available when the original preorders were. Not just because I had a job then, but because it would have made FAR more sense. Outfits can be put on other dolls as cosplay, but those hands are so specifically *her*, that I feel they ought to have been something you could get shipped with her in the first place.

 

I'm hoping the hands at least are preorder, since I have a feeling a LOT of us are going to want them. I may take a whack at painting normal ones for a lot of hand poses, and kind of wonder if it may be a good idea to have some unpainted ones for her for non-turquoise outfits and wigs, but I definitely want either 06 or 08 grabby hands, and maybe either the V or kirakira/rockstar hands with the painted nails.

So I wasn't the only one who saw the similarity. Yup, snatched one for my Miku! That was the outfit I was aiming at. Now to get some thigh high black stockings. The second one was the Shining Early Summer Sailor Set but could't get that one. But now that I heard about the Mikuzukin outfit set I'm not one bit disappointed anymore! Gonna save my money for that one! I'm so excited! I absolutely love everything Little Red Riding Hood-themed so that's a must-buy for me.

Going to pass the Doremifa Rondo outfit.

 

Oh, Volks.... Why didn't you tell us about the "Miku-hands" earlier! Now I have bought all the extra hands for nothing! .....Or maybe not. Now I can use the normal hands with the Senbonzakura glowes and not worry about staining the fingernails-painted-hands!

Volks also announced that a new Vocaloid Dollfie Dream is coming!! Very exciting! I wonder if it's Luka? DDS Rin would be cute too! Can't wait to see who it's going to be!

Got the Date on the beach set for my Miku which will save us making a World is mine outfit. =) My other half is going to make the accessories though to complete the set ^__^

I tried to put a link to that page, but I'm not allowed to. Apparently because I haven't made enough post to this forum. Anyway, it was on a blog called "39mikustream". Just google it and then go to the day 8/30. Theres a photo of a sign that says "new Vocaloid DD" (and then something something... I can't read Japanese very well...) with Volks logo on it. The picture is from Magical Mirai. Someone posted it on a Twitter too and all the Japanese people who commented that were like: "Maybe it's DDdy Luka!" "I wonder if it's Luka or Rin?" "Ooo! I wonder who it's going to be!" etc.

Rin, Luka, and Meiko are more likely candidates than IA or Seeu, I think--those first three are from the same company as Miku, so they and Volks already are on good manufacturing terms. It'd need to be a whole new contract for IA or Seeu. (I don't think it's impossible down the line, but given that this was announced at a Miku event, it would be a bit strange for them to be making that promotion for a different company's character.)

 

I like Rin, Meiko, and Luka, but I'm not a "slave" to them like I am to Miku, so for any of them, it would depend on how their faces turned out and whether or not I had money available at the time.

 

Kaito, on the other hand. . . Super unlikely, but if he became reality, I would move heaven and earth to get my grubby little paws on him! (He is at least from Crypton Future Media like Miku, Rin, Len, and Luka. )

Luka was and always will be my first Vocaloid love. She was also the first I bought the software for, as well as the first purchase I ever imported from Japan. If they are making a DD of her, I am in some serious trouble. I was already planning on making a custom, myself if I didn't hear of a Volks-made one by the time of the next pre-order doll. Miku is awesome, I have the DD on order and have the money all saved up, but the more mature Luka will always win out. I am going to be keeping a VERY close eye on further developments.

My guess is that the next preorder project will be from the polls, and the Vocaloid will be a lottery. That will be a VERY popular lottery though.

To me it might make sense if it was Kaito and the new line they hinted at was a male DD line. Any male character they release will be in massive demand for the first release at least so a pre-order project would make most sense so everyone has an opportunity to get him. They did the same thing with Kos-Mos and the semi white skin.

As I recall, *shipping* was in November, but the invoices first got sent in October. So yeah, October would be safer for those of you who ordered with International, or did the deposit version on USA.

 

Though this brings me to a question: to those of you who did "pay in full" on USA on past preorders, did the initial shipping charge cover it, or was there a remainder on final shipment? I know it won't really be that much if that's the case, but I'd rather not be unpleasantly surprised when she's finally on her way.

You know, considering that they're nearing completion Luka's V3/Append vocals, releasing a DD around the same time would make sense. I think it would still be several months (maybe even half a year or more).
