Volks JP at Magical Mirai 2013 Hatsune Miku Event

I'll probably be in the last batch of VolksUSA orders since I ordered really late.

 

that can be a good thing though - if (glob forbid) there are production booboos, they've usually got things sorted out before they get to the last orders - or at least know how to handle returns/etcs : )

Oh! I didn't know! This will certainly make the wait easier if there turns out to be problems, although I hope no one has any issues with their Mikus.

This might've been mentioned before but is Volks planning to release the SS-bust in normal skin?

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I noticed that a release date has been set (they are being sold on eBay already!!). I haven't received any notification from Volks. Do they not get a hold of us until ours are ready to ship?? I have never pre-ordered with them before and am not sure what to expect. Sorry again if this was posted before, I only have a couple of computer minutes right now and figured I'd check in with the group to see. Thanks in advance!!

They contact you when it is ready to ship, at the end of october.

They wont send you a payment invoice untill its ready to be shipped? I thought you had to pay a good bit before?

Godzilla I believe that is the case with USA store, but from the international, for pre-orders only, you pay as soon as it is ready to be shipped.

An update on the DD blog. So many Miku boxes!! Getting so exited!

I was actually looking at our bedroom and thinking, where am I going to display the box? But seriously, that's one good looking box. As a Miku fan I'm not going to just store it in a closet. I'm going to put it somewhere where I can see it.

This might effect residents of Japan only. I haven't seen any announcements yet for international payment & delivery yet.

This has been asked from previous preorders but I forget. Will these go out by preorder date or based on payment date? Just paid a big CC bill & would rather hold off until closer to deadline to pay this off. Plus if you have a Discover card you can potentially earn a 5% cashback bonus for online shopping in October. Not sure if there's anything in the terms that would prevent this offer from working with the Volks Japan online shop though.

 

If you wanna get more hyped up for this release; in the addition to the NY (Oct 17-18) & LA (Oct 11-12) concerts this fall Miku will appear on the David Letterman show (USA late night talk show) on October 8th.

Oops. Nevermind. I did the paid right away option instead of pay later. So I already paid for her. Can't wait for shipment notice now. ^_^

YAY!!! Just got home from work, got my e-mail, and got her paid for! Now comes the month-long wait for her to be shipped and then the even longer (seeming) wait for her to arrive.

No invoice for me yet... but i did order on pretty much the last day she was avaliable

Unless you had a proxy buy her in person from a store in Japan, I thought the only way to pay in full ahead of time was through Volks USA? If the latter is the case, then you'll be getting her in December-ish with me. (Also ordered on the 28th, but via USA specifically because of the pay in full option.)

So sorry! December's my estimate based on the lag between Japanese and US releases for, well, basically everything. Apparently they do bulk ocean shipping to get stuff from Japan to the US, which takes forever and a day. Seems the delay is usually around two months.

 

On the bright side for both of us, no worrying about whether or not we can pay it off, since we've already done it! And no being paranoid about the exchange rate for a year.

 

I think of it this way: when I paid for my Miku, I bought future me a Christmas present.

I'm so psyched! I got my notice and paid for my Miku just now The yen/CAD exchange rate is really good right now, I'm so relieved! I like to think 100 yen is about $1, but sometimes it's really not and I have to pay a lot more like when I bought Iris

 

So they're shipping them sequentially, that means my order won't get delayed for being an international buyer, yay!

I know, I actually hedged my bets last year when the exchange rate was good and bought a bunch of yen to cover most of the cost. I'm kind of kicking myself for not selling it months ago when I could have made ~30% though (－‸ლ)

 

So... has anyone gotten a notice that didn't order within the first two days?
