I just paid off Miku and I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to see her cute face in person!

 

Miku was $720.61 CAD if anyone is wondering what the approximate final cost will be if you are located in Canada. That's with the ems shipping fee and taxes included.

I paid for my Miku today too!

Ordered mine on 2013/11/22 as I had cancelled my previous preorder. So won't get her for quite a while.

I got my payment request, but I'm not really into the hobby anymore, haven't brought or wanted any new dolls or doll things for months, actually considering selling dolls rather than buying new ones so I'm not going to be paying for my Miku.

 

I don't really have the time, money or interest in getting her home just to sell her on either. I just can't handle that sort of hassle right now, I've got too much else going on with work, health and housing stuff.

I got my payment request yesterday too.

 

I'm waiting on the person who is buying the extra outfit to pay me the rest and then she'll be paid for. I've been trying to find someone to take Miku for the past couple months but have had no luck, so hopefully when I get her I'll either love her, or I'll put her up for sale and hopeully someone will buy her.

I just got the same content in an email from Volks, literally two minutes ago. Sounds to me like they put even early US orders in the second wave, which doesn't sound entirely fair.

 

Guess I bought future me a Valentine's present?

 

EDIT: I just remembered that Volks USA didn't have a limit on Miku! That's probably the cause of it. >.< Volks, WHY do you insist on this no-limit nonsense? It bites you in the ass every time!

Just got the e-mail myself. I kind of want to know the numbers on how many were ordered/produced to have a delay lasting this long. It sucks a bit knowing that some of us paid for her in full when the orders went live and thinking back, that was almost one year ago.

 

Even if it is Miku, a year and a half to get her is a bit ridiculous.

Noooooo!!! I got this email. I read it from my phone and thought from the subject it was time to pay So disappointed, what makes it worse is I had another preorder get pushed back for some other dolls.

Well, Makoto is definitely beating Miku home now.

I just saw the email myself. I'm a little disappointed, since I paid in full for her, but I also ordered late in the pre-order period, meaning I may have to wait even longer than February.

 

Edit: Since the invoices are going out in February, would that mean the dolls themselves may ship out in March? I'm basing this on Volks International sending invoices out in September, but shipping in October.

 

 

Miku may be a graduation present as I finish school in April and I'm in the last batch of orders.

It's not too surprising as Volks tends to ship their stuff to the US via surface mail like most anime shops in the US which can take about 2-3 months. Most likely the US orders will be sent around November but because of the delay they'll arrive in the US around February. If they were to be released around the same time Volks would've had to have shipped them 2 months back when they were still in production. I think this is part of the reason they're no longer taking orders for limited dolls through Volks USA.

That's the thing, it's usually a two-month gap from when Japanese/International releases happen. That would mean us US people like me were expecting December, based off the International shipments being in October.

 

Still, it's putting a four-month gap between the International first wave and the US first wave. That gives me a bit of a sad. It means that much longer before I can make clothes for her! (She's demanding really form-fitting stuff, lol.) Maybe I can kidnap--I mean borrow--one from someone in the local group who got her in International. At least for a weekend to make her a simple thing or two.

Bah, I'm sure it has to deal with the cost of shipping the dolls via freight and that is why they have to delay them all at once but still... this has been close to a year long event - were the numbers (and payments) not finalized until just now for them to realize when to delay USA customers?

 

Volks.... quit making it so hard for me to love you. /huff. lol

Man, I feel bad for anyone waiting till February of next year. On the bright side for me is that I can save up to get her now that I'm at minimum working age.

In the meantime, I'm really sad to hear about the long delay for the US orders. A year and a half is an exceptionally long time. I ordered through the international site and I'm in the second batch so I'm still waiting on the shipping schedule.

Sad news for those who ordered from Volks USA, this super long wait has turned even longer...
