Where to buy wigs.

So I want to buy some new wigs for Erika and Saber Alter and was looking for some websites that sell and ship to UK. I know about Miruya and have used them before.

 

I'm looking for a nice red wig for Erika and a wig that is the same colour as Saber Alters.

 

 

Any help would be awesome!

You can buy wigs in any BJD ("resin") shop because they're the same. Just look for 8-9" wigs, they fit 99% DDs.

May it be Leeke, Luts, Coolcat, Mimiwoo, nDoll, Cancan-jseries, Crobidoll (9-10" fit), Dollmore or many other sorces, including various eBay shops.

Do Leeke World restock wigs? Also what is the DD Default eye size?

Which head are you referring to?

The "usual" is 22cm, but like Nekopon said, it kind of depends on the head too.

IT would be Erika's "DDH-16" Original Head.

I have been looking at those sites but can't find very many red/copper wigs.

According to her DD page here, it looks like she takes 24mm eyes. But you are free to try others as well.

 

Red and copper hair is a hot commodity, a lot of people like it!

Leeke carries the better red hairs but it's usually a "limited" color- unfortunately.

So i was thinking of getting http://www.miruya.com/goods_detail.php?goodsIdx=506 for Saber Alter. Would you say that is the same blonde as her default wig?

I'd say it probably will stain. I got the green mermaid color from Miruya and it stained my girl's forehead a tiny bit. Definitely use a wig cap.

If you want a deeper red the "cherry wine" from for my doll is pretty. http://formydoll.com/index.php size 8-9 fits fine.

Does any one know if the ponytail is quite strong? I don't want to be extra careful with it like i have to with saber's bun

I don't have that one so I'm not sure, sorry! ... but it looks pretty durable.

Quick question on Leeke wigs, they carry both 8/9 and 9/10. I always find 8/9 a bit big so which size is better for a ddh03 head?

I got my wig from Dollmore, a Korean doll site. I'm very pleased with it! It's pretty, fits well, and feels so silky and soft! *squee*

Kemper Doll is another store worth checking out.

 

They don't tend to have a huge inventory, but some of their modacrylic wigs are REALLY inexpensive. Not to mention, they come in cool anime-esque colors like turquoise or hot pink.

 

Another relatively inexpensive US-based store is Anime Stuff Store. They recently started stocking doll wigs - the quality is nice, and they are reasonably priced.
