fwiw, the thing I put in for in the lotto looks to be cancelled on the volks international site (or at least the order link isn't active but it was this morning) just was wondering if anyone did actually hear anything.

 

hmm i'm gonna log in and check. is there something that should be completely different when I check -- I know if it still says 'lottery' that can mean either they havent drawn or you didnt win.

Yes, that doesn't change. I mean the order number is no longer a link, it's just text.

yeah mine is too, ugh does that mean we didn't win? or did the order number gray out after the entry time ended? Kinda wish they'd have a different notification like, 'unavailable' or something vs it just being Lottery and you have to guess if they've drawn or not lol

Volks' whole model sucks, IMO. The Xenosaga III approach is better: you preorder the girl you want and after 6-12 months you're guaranteed to get her. They could also take a deposit if they so wished.

I hope the clickwar wont happen this weekend because that is Dragoncon (for any non-Southern US locals, that's a huuuge convention. and wifi will suuuuuuck during that time lol)

I don't think this will happen. There are still a lot of people who love hunting for their dream girls and Pre-Ordered Dollfies, are not really the same as limited ones.

 

And to tell the truth I personally love this hobby, because it it not impossible to get your dream girl. She might be more expensive on the after market, but that is only a question of the savings. If you want to, you can always get them On Y!J were a lot Yukihos and Chiyayas that were sold for 85k or less. Thats still a good price. (At least for me xD The people spent some time and money to get these girls as well, even if they did it to sell them afterwards xD)

 

(Its much worse when you collect/paint Modelkits. Sometimes there are Kits you only see once in a life time and never again, that would be horrible xD)
