I think I can use my luck as a service to give chances to those who doesn't win the lottery indeed. Of course, at a fine price. I didn't buy them though. I let one of them go into the wild and the other one to a buyer who deserved her indeed.

I think it's hyperbolic language. I also clicked for fun. The page took 40-50 seconds to reload and by that time it was sold out. From COMING SOON to SOLD OUT it took 40-50 sec and it was all sold out. Maybe because you had two in your shopping cart and when you did not buy, later on, the items became available again.

 

It's weird how you don't realise this and how you don't realise that the quality of one's connection to the server hosting Volks' website could affect how different folks get different results in this regard.

That's a good point about the quality of the connection - I've never had luck from my house, but when I tried on my office's connection I did get at least one item I wanted. Just have to decide next time if I'm desperate enough to stay until 7:30pm on a Friday.

The other thing to do, is not to give up to quickly. When someone adds the item to the cart, it becomes reserved, but they may not purchase, such as in the above case, or may not be able to purchase, in which case the item may appear a few minutes later. But of course someone else could also get it.

Jadepixel, office connection is amaing for click wars. Especially when you're manning more than one station at once. I've had times the Mac was faster and others when the PC was. I say use both for assurance! I couldn't stay last night because I had plans but it was so tempting to stay! Everyone also left at three for the weekend...

My Chihaya arrived today! Very fast! O.O She's beautiful and very happy!! The wig is very tricky to make it sit right. At first I thought Volks had botched it but then I turned the wig very slightly and it started looking like in the pictures. Anyway taking it off now to go wash it as you can tell it will stain like crazy O~O

I thought it's time I join this thread XD I won both girls but not through Volks. I got a RONRONSHUKA custom Yukiho and Chihaya and thank god I was able to acquire them both ! I actually was waiting for her to do them ever since photos were released and she did ! They were up together.

You're really lucky. I got to pay $100 and $150 USD in VAT fees for my last two DDs. But our customs are the worst in the world, almost nothing slips through untaxed. (USD equivalent, we don't use Dollars here, but for comparisons' sake). And it was so much better in the old days. In 2004/3 when I got my MSD Nasia, I paid zip tax on her.

Belgium custom admin fee is €10-15

And then 20ish % tax and extra 20ish tax on products from certain countries like China / Japan.

 

I just got lucky that my packet got slipped through the custom this time. 1 of my asuna, I had to pay like € 80 and the other one,I had to pay € 5xx for a €7xx Asuna (so Belgium custom isn't that great or sometimes lazy)
