Just noticed, one thing that's not on the flickr yet is that they have the DD and DDS parts in Semi White skin listed. At least the photos Natalie posted show them.

Yes, Miki and Haruka were only available through lottery with Volks INC. I have a feeling that all the other IdolMaster girls will follow the same path and will be exclusive only to Volks INC lottery. Along with any of the IdolMaster outfits.

 

The only DD that will be up for lottery with Volks US more than likely will be Crimson Mode Sakuya.

I say probably everything except for any of the IdolMaster branded items will be available through Volks US as well. That includes all the other clothing, SWS option parts and so on.

Hmmm! The new IM girls both look really good! I've never watched that show so I have no character preference, but I love both sculpts! right now I'm having a hard time deciding who I like more

After looking at close ups, I'm no longer interested in Chihaya. The face is very similar to Miki and I'm happy with Miki. On the other yeah, Yukiho seems to be more unique and would love to use her as an OC. I'm still interested in Sakuya's outfit.

She is supposed to be petite, but not completely flat-chested. IMO the S-bust would be the more appropriate choice, if I were designing her, so I am curious if this SS is actually a real thing. Much like with DDs, you can change the clothes of the idols in game, so it's possible to get a canon answer uninfluenced by the fanbase. If you put Chihaya in a swimsuit or china dress you can see where she stands based on the 3D character model. It's supposed to be small, but clearly not equivalent to the boys from idol group Jupiter for instance.

 

In the original game dialogue Chihaya does get sensitive about her size compared to other idols in the company who are younger in age but more mature in body - usually when being asked to do a job at the beach. Over time that escalated into a meme in fan stories, with each author making her more flat and more embarrassed about it than the last.

 

If the SS bust is a real thing and not a misprint -- I haven't gotten my issue yet so I consider everything hearsay 'till then -- then Volks is trying to fall in line with the fan-meme about her.

hmmm - the SS bust though could work out well for folks wanting to make more of a male DD figure. I really wonder if that's why Volks decided to do that b/c this way they aren't necessarily having to take a risk of making a male doll that may not sell well. it'll save people having to frankenstein an obitsu+DD together.

Volks still hasn't released one-piece torso option parts, it's not going to be available separately (yet). The new outfits have 'SS' marked for size compatibility so it's not a typo. Definitely a good option for making a male DD or a cross-dressing girl. Actually Chihaya's reminding me a lot of a certain Persona 4 character, hmmm...
